[rant]'m more surprised that they can't make a fucking control scheme that doesn't need a stand to play without cramping up your hand seriously controls should come first if you can't get it right without a useless periheral then get your shit togther and make a control scheme that fucking works [/rant]

Well apparently it will be coming to the US too now: http://www.shacknews...-us-version-as?
I don't really mind the stand tbh, it's just an optional piece of plastic that might come in handy from time to time actually, helping keeping the system steady when playing in a car for example. It doesn't come anywhere near the monstrosity that the unnecessary 2nd slidepad was. Edited by Eerpow, 13 January 2012 - 09:27 PM. |

Nice, I hope it'll come to Europe as well, if only to make it better used than that charging cradle...

Kid Icarus: Uprising Will Come With A Stand In North America, Too
Quote On Wednesday, Kid Icarus: Uprising director, Masahiro Sakurai, revealed that the game would come bundled with a free Nintendo 3DS stand in Japan that will allow you to keep the system steady while playing. Here’s what it looks like: Warning! Spoiler inside. In a statement to Shacknews, Nintendo of America have confirmed that the North American release of the game will include the free stand as well. Kid Icarus: Uprising is slated for release on March 23rd. It uses the Circle Pad Pro for left-handed play as well. Edited by Ryupower, 13 January 2012 - 09:45 PM. |

If it comes with the Kid Icarus, I really wouldn't mind. But I must say, it could be proven to be quite useful. I wouldn't buy it on its own though...

Cool, This will make my stop motion doodles SSOOOOO much easier. And its also just a stand that comes with the game, who cares about the hypothectical hand cramps or the half pound system being too heavy. you dont HAVE to buy it (in fact your not even buying it since it comes with the game) and you dont have to use it plus it looks like it could hold things other then a 3DS.

Since it comes with the game, I don't really mind. I want to see for myself how it feels. It looks quite useful and can lessen the strain on the hand.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of this immediately.
Huh, I thought the 3DS was a handheld game console, not a standheld one. |

OBJECTION! |
This should have been GIVEN to us years ago with the DS fps'. All of these games tend to cramp the hand, and this is due to the developers and designers of the hardware, not us. That is why it should be given to us.

they should bring back the thumbstrap.
cramp-free play as long as you don't need the ABXY buttons. |
