I wouldn't say the game is crap. It's really complete, there are a lot of enemies, lots of weapons and items and I'd say it's worth the price Team Meat are asking for (ie +- 5$).

But yeah, Binding of Isaac is nowhere near as good as Super Meat Boy.

I am excited hopefully it wont be $40 like cave story.
Also to the people that say it suck it sounds like you are bad at the game or don't understand the mechanics. Tears can curve to angles, the game is a little over an hour long hence no save, random to create new challenges and go through the tons of combinations of powers. or maybe you aren't into the loz/roguelike experience

stop comparing isaac to meatboy, they are so very different in gameplay. and for what its supposed to do, isaac is a wonderful game, not to say that it shouldnt get a suspended save feature on a portable console, as its really nothing to start and finish on the go, but a real save, fu, then you might as well start the game with everything unlocked and invincible.

i dont expect nintendo to show lots of interest to a game that has a nude boy shot tears of blood at splattering monsters that piss, poop and vomit you to death...

as for super meat boy, that ridiculous "we cant release it on this and we cant release it on that" really is annoying. bet they could, but just dont want to

Anyways, I hate Binding of Isaac. It's a piece of crap game. I wrote a blog so I'm keeping this short.

Agreed. I got it as kinda the "headliner" in an Indie Bundle and tried playing it. It was really dull and boring. I thought it was sorta supposed to be like those "old top down Zelda games" but those games are miles better. It was overall really dumb. Good music though.

I would get it if they do end up releasing it. The eShop is getting a lot of great games.

Why isn't Super Meat Boy heading to the 3DS? Hardware limitations?

No, that was the excuse for not putting it on DSi. There is no excuse for not putting it on 3DS.

The resolution would probably be too low.

Just played the game, all I have to say is I hate the game.
Seriously, the controls are the worst,no save, die once and repeat the whole thing and the whole game is random.
Super Meat Boy was way better than this(I liked the challenge of getting the bandages),I have to agree with ShadowSoldier with what he is saying about the game.

That's the whole point of the fucking game. You're not supposed to be able to save and the dungeons are supposed to be random. The controls work fine if you're using them properly. Honestly, I doubt that half of the people complaining have ever played a Rogue-like game.

Wait, if it's supposed to be "Legend of Zelda"-esque like I here everyone say, why is it playing like a roguelike? Maybe I'm missing something.

I didn't like it either honestly.

Ugh, I really didn't like this game... no way I'm buying this for 3DS.

Whereas, Super Meat Boy... that's a different story.

It takes a lot of inspiration from LoZ + other games but the gameplay is roguelike.

Having seen the Binding of Isaac for the first time last night, I can picture how the executives at Nintendo will react...

I wouldn't hold my breath for this port.

I really didn't think it is going to happen. Meat Boy is still a better chance.

BoI was a pretty fun game for what it was, i enjoyed it for several hours, and only beat it once really out of like 20 play throughs, and even then it was due to a lucky unlock on some Jezebel of Babylon or somthing like that, forgot who it was, she made it somewhat easy mode. If the price is good I'd definitely buy it.

BoI is really fun and addictive for such a cheap game!

To the people who say it sucks, well I thought it sucked too but that was mainly because I sucked at it, I just kept playing and eventually I grew fond of it.

Trust me, just keep playing, you will get better at it.
The item combinations increases the more you play.

Sometimes you get a good combo of items,
sometimes you don't but that's Isaac for ya.

Also it takes inspiration from Zelda but does not play like Zelda!

Quote

Edmund McMillen anticipates a release of The Binding of Isaac's first and only expansion, "The Wrath of the Lamb," at some point in "the next 2 - 4 months." At least that's according to Mr. McMillen himself, speaking with Joystiq in an email exchange last evening. "If we land the 3DS port, it will include the expansion for sure," McMillen added.

As for the planned Nintendo 3DS version, McMillen doesn't have much in the way of solid news just yet, but the project is moving along. "The only news I have on the 3DS is that it seems possible but it's still going through higher ups to make sure there won't be an issue with the 'religious' aspect," he said. And if the 3DS version doesn't work out, there are apparently other plans in the books.

"If we don't land the 3DS, the publisher I'm talking to has expressed interest in other digital platforms and is currently contacting them as well about the port." Considering the game is already available on PC, Mac, and Linux, we're presuming that means ... somewhere else (XBLA, PSN, Vita, and mobiles come to mind).

He also offered some details on the upcoming expansion, including the news that it will contain "about 50 percent more content." McMillen said the content comprises, "enemies, alt chapters, bosses, items, characters, challenges, new happenings and mechanics as well as a ton of other little details," and after that "nothing else" can be done with the game, "so I'll close the book on it." Which is rather fitting, considering the game's thematic inspiration, no?

If it does go on there, it looks like it wouldn't be in 3d since it just says port. I guess they could mean 3d port.
