Nintendo has released a save fix for a game breaking bug, it made further progress in the game impossible if done in a certain way. Any Japanese Skyward Sword owners can have their saves fixed by downloading a channel patch from the Wii Store. No news of when USA/Canada and Europe will get their patch so far.

Further details of the channel patch can be found here.

It's weird that this game would have such a bug, but since it does, at least Nintendo has an official way of getting past it now, even if it's an arduous task. I didn't know they could do such a thing on Wii.

Well they could on the DS.
It's a simple save file edit, nothing more.

On a side note, another glitch I find kinda funny.

Lol, we'll probably have to start a petition for it. I can't wait to see this added to Operation Rainfall.

"Trololol! You made it into the dragon's territory?!"
Nintendo was obviously trolling us.

This is a simple save file fix.
You cannot add anti-piracy with that.

I wonder how many people will miss the point that this just fixes the save file and touches nothing else...

Because of that.
People assumed Nintendo would patch the game itself.
