My son's getting the PS3 version from Santa this year. I like it because it starts him with collecting something, and gives us something we can do together. I can reward him once in a while with a new character, and the game will be fresh for him. Curious if the PS3 USB receiver works on the Wii. Anybody know?

I have read that the wii portal is compatible with the pc. And that the 360 portal is compatible with the ps3. It seems that the portal is made to work with any console or the pc. Would make sense as well, because it would take a lot of money to develop and produce a separate portal for each platform.

:yay: Couldn't agree more. And, it's my understanding the portal & figurines are totally interchangeable with any console (but, I could be wrong).

there's only 1 set of toys and 1 portal and they will work on anything except the 3ds i think.

Yeah the portal connects through USB so anything with USB is fine.

Why isn't the dragon in the middle of the cover? Crash and Spyro so should have been owned by Sony!

So I personally found out that the 3DS model comes with a USB cable, and works on Wii, PS3, and PC. Wii works on PS3 and PC. PS3 works on Wii (personally tested) and PC. PC portal apparently only works on PC, and the XBox360 portal only works on XBox360. So it isn't perfectly interchangable, especially if you own a 360, but there is a little bit. With my son getting the PS3 version, I tried it on my Wii with a WODE. Worked just fine. Just make sure you sync the portal before starting the game (in the Wii menu). I can't try out the interchangability of the 3DS one yet, but that set is mine for Christmas.

I may make some videos afterwards, just for fun. (Did the same for PS3 emulators and Alice: Madness Returns.) Would anybody be interested in video reviews and explanations? If so, post the questions you want me to cover! I'll get to them all as best I can!

(Keep in mind I'll be using the PS3 version primarily, with the 3DS version. Wii game is the same as PS3 with lesser graphics, but I can show the interchangability that way.)

EDIT: Okay, got to play around a bit with the 3DS version. (Opened my gift early. Don't tell my wife. Lol.) I'm gonna start a topic collection questions about the game(s). I'm gonna try to answer them with video blogs. ^_^ Keep looking!
