How to extract music from GBA games by rare?

Specifically the Battletoads rom. I tried Sappy but no luck. Anyone have a suggestion? Reply soon.

Also, anyone know how to extract music from the Max Payne GBA game?
(no "record it from the game" answers, i don't want sound effects)

If you ask a technical question you might have to wait a while for a technical answer but the short version is GBA audio extraction is considerably more tricky than the likes of the DS due to there not really a almost universal standard like the DS' SDAT and the GBA has no filesystem meaning it is all wound together with no simple extraction method.

Still http://gbatemp.net/t...ing-gba-things/ has some on audio and links to a few tools that work better than sappy.

Also if you do not want SFX then you might try figuring out what channels the sfx are is played through and blanking them (should be available even on basic vanilla VBA)
