Hello there

I would like to announce officially that TCG project Clash of Gods is being worked on
We have 3-person team for now and looking for a bit more especially:
- Graphics - someone who would do some basic graphic and card images per se
- Sound maker - someone who would do some synthesizer music themes and maybe SFX sounds to game

We are NOT looking for:
- Coders - enough of them is there already

If You would like to join, test the game or just play, You are mostly welcomed

The homepage of project is located here:
http://clash-of-gods.netau.net

When next revision will be done I will ask staff for posting official release info on main page here (it would be a honor to have it :P)

Have a nice day everyone

iSubaru (aka Kisuke on project page)

Howdy iSubaru. I was interested in trying your game out, but I see yer having difficulties with Rapidshare.
Just a suggestion, GBAtemps Filetrip would be a good place to host your file.

Filetrip? Hmm not bad idea, thank You very much for suggestion
Do You know what are requirements (if any) to host file there?
I think You made my day that way ^_^

The prayers have been listened!
*cough*
Thank You very much for Your offer, I will send You info ASAP to Your mail :)
I guess I will make topic on forum too
Thank You once again

P.S. Filetrip seems to be good place, I'm just not sure how they will look on sprites that are avaiable in the network but they are taken from a game, for example Final Fantasy, will they threat it as copyrighted material or not...

EDIT #1
I have repaired link to rapidshare rev 3 for now, it will last probably 7 days or so, meanwhile I will try to prepare proper rev 4 that will at least kick out content that MAY BE questionable for filetrip

Few days passed since last post so I guess I can skip edit this time

Big step ahead, deck is being shuffled correctly and all cards are put on table
Bah I can even check which card is which (symbolic miniatures so it requires *click* anyway :P)
Not all cards are working yet, not sure why, but I'm on it right *now*

After that will be solved I will proceed with simple play between me and CPU tough CPU will just check if he can place any of his cards on proper field, nothing more :P
Writing CPU "A.I." is not easy thing so that part will take time...a lot...

Forums also got new topics and sections, nobody is biting there, You can REALLY post there :D

EDIT #1
OK Fixed, all cards are on table properly this time
Guess I can proceed with some serious play...and when I say serious I mean totally serious :P

EDIT #2
Also forgot to mention obvious thing like Changelog being updated

(never heard of clash of gods)

Don't worry, it was up until recently only on polish forum with small group, so no suprise You didn't heard about it before

Quote

im willing to help spriting

Then I have some request for You, would You mind sending me on PM some IM contact to You?
Any is fine, Yahoo, ICQ, MSN...
IM contact would improve speed of our work ^_^ especially that as I can see You are just one hour back on time zone compared to me (GMT+1 I am)E

EDIT #1
Btw I was playing Yu-Gi-Oh too, I still have some cards...they are probably all or at least most non-original but...come on, original cards in polish shops? Rarity xD
(tough Duel Monsters I heard had more original cards in shops than Yu-Gi-Oh)

I've dabbled in chiptune creation, I'll contact you if I have the time.
What sort of music would you be looking for? (dark-dramatic, light-quick, fast-moving, etc)

It's difficult to describe the music part, but I will try :P
- 8-bit sounds - anytime anywhere
- warm sounds
- a bit slow tracks for overworld, menu, &c.
- a little faster for battle, it have keep players awake
- even faster for warning, when there will be not much cards/HP left
- For start I would be asking for themes for intro, menu, overworld (one), battle (in any order You want)

and most of all
tracker format (mod, xm, s3m, it, &c.), no MP3 things because of three reasons
- DS is not powerhouse PC to have time for handling MP3 decoding in fly
- Tracker music sounds a lot better in tracker format
- Synthesizer music sounds a lot better in tracker format

As mentioned 8-bit tracks will do very fine, I'm a bit conservatist and I like to listen 8-bit tracks all the time ^_^
You can even - if possible - make sounds GB/GBC/GBA like, You know this specific noise

I hope it answered Your question ^_^
Thank You for advance

P.S. - I have updated forum sections a bit

I have good and bad news :P

Good are that deck is shuffled and placed properly on table (yes table finally!) and cards are properly drawn to hand without exceeding limit (for now)
Bad are that when I try to summon monster it makes graphical bugs xD

I will try to fix it soon, then we will another big step closer to actual "play" and rev4

EDIT #1
If everything will go well, in rev4 CPU player will just draw card and randomly summon things, so it shouldn't be too hard for now

Waiting for seeing it, sounds good, is multiplayer planned or at least multiplayer on same console?

Multiplayer is planned tough no on the same console, it is planned in one of those ways:
- DS Local play (same room, 2 DS, no other stuff required)
- DS Wi-Fi play (not necessary in the same room, 2 DS, access to Wi-Fi and network required)
- DS Server-Client play (some way to make it similar to WFC, that there is server which will help find each other around with something similar to Friend Codes or something)
The list is also ordered by difficulity, DS Local play is probably easiest while the server stuff is tough one
