Only working fine through nand emulation and modchips. Freezes in every checkpoint of the game. More infos for this? What could be the problem?

No right of appeal. |
It's probably a new anti-piracy protection. And because the Wii is slowly dying and this isn't a big title, it could take a while until someone takes a look at this and tries to fix it.

Now, people don't care but if the next Zelda or Kirby has this protection, you could be sure that there will be a lot of new topics.

I just tried this on uneek DI with the new cDI module. Works just fine (as was mentioned in the opening post).
For the real nand users...it would probably help if you give more details. What cIOS(es) were tried? What versions? Which base IOS'es? Which USB loaders? I remember downloading a few games just to find out what the fuss was all about. And in the end, it usually came down to "lack of alternatives". You can try Hermes's cIOS, Waninkoko's and d2x's (the latter being preffered over Waninkoko's). There are 3 major USB loaders and a good handful of settings for each one. It's certainly possible that there is a new anti-piracy protection out there, but if you're just going to post "it's not working", then it's not giving indications what the problem might be. |

The 1st thing that needs to be done here is to find out if the game detects the loader or the cIOS(uneek). So since it works in uneek, it should be easy to test for you. All you need is a loader that is capable to boot games from uneek. If that works, it's a cIOS problem, if not, it's a loader problem. |

Does still work under Sneek? Could you provide a dummy guide for uneek DI as I'm new to NAND emulation.. besides just having fiddled with Triiforce sometime back |

Modmii does a good job of getting the files you need to get sneek to run. I would suggest you use uneek+DI, though: uneek because it'll use your USB drive, and the "DI" to load games from the USB drive rather than from the disc drive.
That new cDI module I mentioned isn't released yet (I don't think it'll take much longer). If you send a pm to overjoy or obcd, they'll probably provide you with the IRC link where you can get it. In time, I hope this cDI module will be added to modmii's arsenal, but that's really up to others to decide. In any case...with that custom cDI module, you can use .wbfs games. If you go with the normal DI module, you need to convert your games to discex (modmii can do this rather easy). After that, it's smooth sailing. As far as dummy guides go, this one is as good as you're going to get. But aside from making sure that your USB drive is FAT32 with a cluster size of 32k, I'd rely on modmii for everything. The nand you used for triiforce can probably be used for your emu-nand. And if not, it's okay: modmii can just pull all the needed files from the internet. Good luck. I'll be on IRC this evening, so if obcd or overjoy tell you the channel (and you know how IRC works), then I may be able to give you more pointers if you get stuck. |

Any other advantages in using uneek+DI besides bypassing certain AP for newer games? (Like tintin).. |

Erm...I wouldn't exactly say that the bypassing of AP is the reason I use uneek+DI. That's just a convenient extra.
I use it for the following reasons: +it doesn't use the real nand for anything -> you can take your hard disk & SD card to a friend's house, do a minimal hack on their wii and have EVERYTHING you have on your current wii (games, miis, savegames, settings) +nearly 100% brick-proof (at the very worst, you "brick" your emu-nand, which means you just edit the folders on your pc until it works again) +you have a "nand" that's only limited by the physical limitations of your disc -> you can easily throw all the wiiware/VC games/DLC on it (it'll take a bit longer to load, though). +no more messing with cIOS (this is NOT a critique to cIOS in general...they mostly do a great job. it just easier not having to worry about it) +fast, almost on-the-fly emu-nand switching (this is a part of that cDI module I mentioned) But yes, there are disadvantages as well: -far less support from homebrewers. emulators work, but lots of other programs rely on cIOS, which are unsupported. Other programs, like HBC or priiloader only "kinda" work (HBC 1.0.7 is the latest working version, and priiloader tends to crash after 10 seconds).-not that easy to set up (the cDI module at least removes the step where you transfer your whole library of games) -it treats your disk as a nand -> homebrew can only be used on SD (in other words: wiiMC and WiiSX won't be able to store a whole bunch of stuff).**this may change in the future, but it's nothing concrete right now. |

Just to be able to install wiiware without sacrificing the actual nand blocks on the Wii is already a plus! Thanks.. will check it out soon! |
