This is simply wonderful... but does this mean we will have to compile our own version of mednafen from now on like we do on the ps3?

No you do not have to compile your own version just download it and install it as instructed on wiibrew

Still considering how new this emulator is, the results are undeniable impressive

Well to be fair, the emulator itself is not new: Mednafen has been emulating GBA for quite a long time, it was even ported to PS3 6 months ago.

That's said, although it uses the same codebase as VBAGX (Visual Boy Advance core), there have been many fixes/optimizations implemented by Mednafen author so it can indeed be a little faster than VBAGX, but I don't think there was any special Wii optimizations done for this specific port. There should also be a few games not working in the original VBA (-M) that works in Mednafen which is good.

But anyway, if it was only for PCE/PCE-CD games, this port was worth doing it, it's way more accurate than the previous emulators we had and worked with quite all games I tried, very impressive.

Now I hope for some options to play in 240p "original" mode like with SNES/Genesis emulators, I don't know how difficult this is since this port uses SDL-Wii.

Wow, amazing work on this, it works very good, thanks for creating such a great port! Seems like some emulators are not needed anymore :P

yep... golden sun works great but not at 60fps all the time. If you disable the frame skipping you will notice a huge slowdown. But the frame skipping isn’t that bad!... it runs very smoothly :)

Sadly... The Lost Age... doesn’t work so well :(

Still considering how new this emulator is, the results are undeniable impressive. :yay:

yes it is!!! :yaywii:

There is another way to play sound on PCECD besides BIN/CUE?

ISO/CUE works, too, which probably isn't what you want to hear.

Thanks so much for porting Mednafen! This is the best news for ages. I'm really only interested in PCE/PCE-CD and so far it looks promising. I hope 240p/native resolution support is added for those of us playing on CRT sets! All in all, stunning work sir!

ok here's my question how do u make a useable image from iso mp3 or from from a real disc for that matter? I made one just like i always have only to have the program tell me it can't read the image, but any emulator on the pc will just fine.

image burn seems to work fine if u want to create a iso from your cd's, but im not sure how to make one into a iso without burning it first.

Sorry for the what maybe a daft question but I'm unable to get my roms to work.

I got some nes and master system roms and placed them in the correct rom folders loaded up the program selected the rom to load the writing disappears then the list of roms return.

Have I missed something extra I need to download or a setting I need to change.

Thanks
