For whatever reason when I load games using DML (actual disc or SD card) it freezes when I press the Power button.

Whilst I feel your pain of the not-able-to-see-3d issue, I still own mine. Why? The games man, the games. The 3D is nothing but a gimmick. Since it doesn't pop OUT, I don't really get the 'wow' factor from it, I just find it interesting. I also find it a pain that whilst in 3D you can't really move the console in any which way, you have to hold it in the 'sweet spot' so I don't really care for it. The games are the best part of the 3DS personally. /endrant. And back on topic, I've never had DML work for me. I claim user error, but I'd love to see it working... Sorry for derailing the thread, but I just wanted to vent a bit. Maybe I'll get one someday. :end rant Edited by the_randomizer, 22 May 2012 - 01:35 AM. |

For whatever reason when I load games using DML (actual disc or SD card) it freezes when I press the Power button. What they DO have is a button combination on the 1st gamecube controller to it's GoogleCode site said:
R + Z + START = reSTART R + Z + D-Pad Down + B = power DOWN (red button) Note: The R+Z+START combination actually resets the Wii console back to the system menu. It's not like the reset button on the console which is SUPPOSED to just tell the GameCube game itself to start itself over at it's title screen again. Edited by Maxternal, 22 May 2012 - 01:45 AM. |

Ah okay, I already knew about the button combinations but I was just curious why my Power and Reset buttons on the actual console itself were not working like they used to. Thought it might have been a bug on my installation in particular.

There's some good 3DS games.. like Tales of the Abyss.. and I don't doubt that there are good games for the 3DS, but I had buyer's remorse due to my inability to see 3D in anything (glasses, glasses-free, you name it). This is due to my brain thinking my left eye is "turned in" despite having cosmetic surgery on it. Without my eyes working in unison, I can't see 3D, and I thought that, since it was glasses-free, I'd see the effect, how wrong I was. I sold it towards getting a PS3 instead, so, unless someone can convince me otherwise, I'm never getting one again. I can almost hear someone saying "just turn off the 3D". Right, but doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of having a 3D handheld? Eh... the only reason I even want a 3DS is for MegaMan Legends 3, which got cancelled anyways :/ |
