Not sure I could even come up with seven "essentials" for PSP. Been trying a lot of games lately, but only a few stand out.

1. P3P
2. Loco Roco
3. Disgaea (very highly recommended, though most folks have probably already played the hell out of it)
4. Gurumin
5. Patapon (the first one)
6. Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth
7. Valkyria Chronicles 2

Guess I squeezed out seven after all. I know there are many other great games folks might recommend, but these are the only ones that really do it for me so far. Like I said, tried a lot of stuff; few games held my interest for long.
