Game Name:
  • Tennis no Oji-sama: Motto Gakuensai no Ouji-Sama - More Sweet Edition DS
Release Date: Game Info:
This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: Otome game
  • What it's about: In order to increase appeal in the region and communication between schools, the Atobe group had decided to sponsor a school event which is interrelated with the princes of tennis. This is because every teenager is required to take part, which also includes the tennis players in the region. You get to play a 14 year old heroine who is in charge of it. Your duties include arranging activities, and organizing people. Get in contact with the princes so they can lend a hand. Get to know one another, chat with them, and develop an intimate relationship with one of them. As your relationship with them increases, it will reach to a certain point where they will do something special for you in the end.
  • Popularity in Japan: I'm pretty sure that this game is pretty popular in Japan, the Prince of Tennis anime and manga are famous even in the west, I even see some female Japanese celebrities write about playing this game in their blogs.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: Prince of Tennis has the perfect storyline for an otome game or shoujo manga, the guys are really hot, but the manga and anime barely have any romantic scenes. It would be amazing to be able to see some in a ds game as a dating sim.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: I don't think it will get published here in the west because of the same reason for all otome games, they don't think it will do well here.

Released Dates:Apr 21, 2011
Links:http://ds-conan.channel.or.jp/
Links2:http://gamrreview.vg...-no-rinbukyoku/

Game Info:This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list,as long as it contains the following information:

Genre:Detective/Mystery

What it's about: Its mainly about solving crimes, detective works solved by a high school student name Shinichi Kudo. But During an investigation, he is attacked by two criminals, codenamed Gin and Vodka, from the syndicate called the Black Organization. They force him to ingest an experimental poison, APTX 4869, which is supposed to kill him, and leave him to die. A rare side-effect of the poison, however, transforms Kudo's body into that of a child instead of killing him which he is now being called as Conan Edogawa .In the first few chapter, its talking about a stolen items which was being stolen by the "Phantom thief" a.k.a Kaito Kid.2nds it will also be mostly on some crimes scene example:Murder, kidnapping ...........,also the main character of the games has some gadget which was being created by Hiroshi Agasa a Professor.

Popularity in Japan:I think this games should be quite Popular ,since there are released of manga, anime episode and anime movies which was being well hit through the asia and mostly some of the western region.

Why i want this translation so badly:Well i want it so badly because mainly of the mystery case, romance, and police works. For romance its mainly between Shinichi Kudo and Ran Mouri, because Ran does not know that kudo has actually shrink to a kid!

Why i don't think this will come out in the West:It has been 7 years since i heard any english version being released so i don't think there will be any translated version that i want it badly

Game Name:

DS Dengeki Bunkou ADV: Baccano!
Scene Release Topic

Release Date:

02/28/2008

Game Info:
  • Genre: Adventure/Visual Novel
  • What it's about:In prohibition-era America, a cacophony of stories stirs. Thieves, terrorists, mafia gangsters, and other elements of pulp fiction collide in a chaos of intrigue and violence. When a hapless alchemist creates an elixir of life that can confer immortality, a series of incredible events follow that spiral out of control, touching upon the lives of an enormous cast of characters. This game deals with the storyline of 1931, when disaster befalls the famed Flying Pussyfoot transcontinental train as it makes its journey from San Francisco to New York. A terrorist/cult group known as the Lemures seek to use the train's passengers, including a US Senator's wife and daughter, as leverage to demand the release of their leader, Huey Laforet. Meanwhile, a gang of killers lead by the Russo family assassin Ladd Russo are trying to hold the train hostage to demand ransom from the train company. Caught in the middle is a group of delinquents originally attempting a train heist, who take it upon themselves to save the passengers. And amidst all this, a terrifying blood-red "monster" called the Rail Tracer has begun to murder people all over the train...
  • Popularity in Japan: Not very. While the light novels are popular in Japan (popular enough to warrant an anime, manga, and video game), all of the media based on them seem to fly under the radar. The anime in the US, however, has received universal critical acclaim, and I'm certain any fan of it would love a translation of this game.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: I (and many other fans) would love to see this story translated. Some of the alternate endings have been translated online, and has really piqued an interest in the games.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Despite the fan base this series has in the US and the number of fantastic reviews it gets, the series is kind of over looked. It's been almost 4 years since the game was released.

The opening to the game

My Offering:

I'm familiar with both the light novels and the anime, so I can help with names, terminology, plot details. I'm also willing to help with spelling and grammar, proofreading and what not. Finally, I know it's not a lot, especially if you aren't already a fan of the series (which highly recommend you watch if you haven't already. One of the best English dubs, too) but I'm willing to compensate you $50 to $75 dollars.

Game Name: Release Date:
  • 08/27/2009
  • Release date info here (look at the "sequels" section.)
Game Info:
  • Genre: First person survival horror.
  • What it's about: The story follows a college anthropology student as he discovers the cursed RPG, as well as a cursed platformer. The game's title refers to the protagonist's left eye, represented by the left screen of the DS when held sideways, which can see supernatural events.
  • Popularity in Japan: As of September 30, 2008, Nanashi no Game has sold 60,000 copies in Japan. It was scored 30 out of 40 by Famitsu magazine.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: After you try the first game, you then want to play the next one, which surprises me, seeing as there is no translation for the sequel.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Neither this game nor its prequel has been released outside of Japan. With the game already being two years old, I doubt it will see release here.

Game Name:
  • Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon Majo to Shoujo to 5nin no Yuusha (Chocobo and the Magic Book: The Witch, The Girl and the Five Heroes)
  • Scene Release Topic
Release Date:
  • December 11, 2008 (odd that I'm requesting this nearly 3 years to the day after its release)
Game Info:
  • Genre: Adventure
  • What it's about: Play as Chocobo as you travel through the worlds of picture books to prevent the world from being turned completely white at the hands of the Unnamed Witch! Meet old friends and hear songs from multiple entries of the long-running franchise!
  • Popularity in Japan: Not sure about this myself, but it's got Chocobos and Moogles so that may help...
  • Why I want this translation so badly: It's the third game in the Chocobo's Magical Picture Book series (or Final Fantasy Fables). As such, it's got a lot of nifty little references in it to a bunch of Final Fantasy games, even with the music. That, and I love the series, so I feel getting this translated would be rather awesome.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: It's been out for a couple of years now, and with the DS remake of Chocobo's Dungeon not being brought over, I don't see this one coming our way either.

Game Name: Release Date: Game Info:

This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: RPG
  • What it's about: The third DS release for the Atelier series follows the escapades of Lina Alteria as she studies alchemy and investigates the mysterious fires plaguing her adopted homeland..
  • Popularity in Japan: Relatively popular it is part of a collection of 21 Atelier games (both main and side), and there has been call for it in NA too.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: The Atelier series is my favourite series of games however I am a student and am low on time to simply learn Japanese to play it so it would be brilliant if I could get to play it. And I've heard that this is even better than Atelier Annie.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: They have moved onto other new games in the series and therefore the focus will not be on this game. NISA also do not prioritise DS as they prefer the Sony consoles. There are many threads like this... http://www.nisameric....php?f=31&t=377 that all seem to have been left ignored by NISA since they were started in 2009 shortly after the game was released in Japan. There is also no Atelier Lina branch on the official Atelier NIS forums which suggests it has been forgotten about by NIS

This is the TV Commercial for Atelier Lina. It features some of the characters (familliar faces) and glimpses of gameplay.

This is the intro video and first part of the game. Check out the comments section, there's the usual discussion about localization and translation going on which basically equates to "I wish it was in English" "Will they translate it?" "It's not going to be translated after all this time"

My Offering:
  • I have knowledge of how the Atelier plays on DS since I've played Atelier Annie (the only english one available on DS) a few times.
  • I'll gladly try hunt down information if need be and help out however I can though I do not speak (or understand) Japanese (I will one day but right now I don't have the time).
  • I'm able to edit grammar and spelling (in English)
  • Gratitude and adoration

Game Name:
  • Project Hacker: Kakusei
  • Here
Release Date: Game Info:
  • Genre: Adventure
  • What it's about: The game features hacker-themed puzzles where the stylus is used for, among other tasks, program repair and password cracking. Project Hacker plays like a first person point and click adventure game outside of these puzzles, similar to the Ace Attorney series.
  • Popularity in Japan: Project Hacker: Kakusei sold 37,000 copies in its launch week.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: 1. I'm crazy for hacker-themed and IT-themed games. 2. I like detective visual novell so much. This game is awesome mix of 1 and 2.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Hypothetical Reason(s) Nintendo Didn’t Do a US Release: In theory, Project Hacker: Kakusei sounds like a really cool game. Maybe Nintendo thought the hacker portion had a negative connotation associated with it, and so decided localization was out? It could have thought that such a game might promote or encourage illegal behavior. It also didn’t sell well in Japan. (From here)

Game Name:
  • Dragon Ball Kai: Ultimate Butōden
Release Date: Game Info:

  • Genre: Fighting
  • What it's about: The game features a Story Mode that extends the whole Dragon Ball Z series from the start of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Kid Buu Saga.
  • Popularity in Japan:Four days after the game was released in Japan, it already sold 31,108 copies, being the fourth best selling game of the week overall (being released in Thursday) and the second best selling Nintendo DS game of the week, only surpassed by Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth 2
  • Why I want this translation so badly: This game has the Best Dragon Ball Z graphics, game play, and Story line. They already make a Project but the Project is already closed but the translation isn't 100% or even 50% i think.Because the Attacks,Subtitle, and Items are not fully translated.it still have Japanese Words.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Because the Dragon Ball Z: Butōden Series basically released on japan and will not make an English Version Unless they have an actual reason.

Game Name:
  • Red Stone DS: Akaki Ishi ni Michibikareshi Monotachi
Release Date: Game Info:
This can be in paragraph form or bulleted list, as long as it contains the following information:
  • Genre: Action RPG
  • What it's about: Red Stone, a multiplayer online RPG from Logic Korea, is following in the footsteps of Ragnarok Online and Maple Story. It has transforming characters and an original storyline, a story that players can "transform" to some degree. The game’s zapping system presents a different outcome of events depending on which characters are in your party. The scenario sounds hefty with six chapters and eight different endings to unlock. Developer Gameon created original dungeons, monsters, and items for the Nintendo DS version too.
  • Popularity in Japan:
  • Why I want this translation so badly: Because i like RPG games. The character design quite good as well. The game play like diablo 2, one of the game i like the most.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Because up until now, i didn't manage to find any single lead about this game being translated into US. I've search any game link, such as gamefaqs, and also search the google for any information, but no luck whatsoever. Also, a lot of RPG games like this, such as cross treasure, that didn't get translated officially.

Game Name: Release Date: Game Info:
  • Genre: Horror Adventure, with combat elements.
  • What it's about: It's a remake of an NEC PC-98 game by Wolfteam, set in the early 1900's; it's a horror-adventure story in which the main character inititally starts researching the fate of his archeologist father.
  • Popularity in Japan: The original game was popular enough to get this remake!
  • Why I want this translation so badly: As mentioned, it's a remake of an early Wolfteam game, shortly before they created first of the better-known Tales series (and broke up in the process, with the rest forming Tri-Ace); that alone is enough to make me somewhat interested in it. It's also a type of game and an era (early 1900s supernatural horror) that isn't very well-explored; and the combination of real-time exploration, point-and-click adventure using multiple characters, and combat elements seems interesting.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: It's a text-heavy game released two years ago, a remake of a game that likewise never got brought over (and is unknown in the west), and the DS era is ending.

I'm making this request for Vampire Lied because their connection won't allow them to make a proper request.

Game Name: Release Date: Game Info:
  • Genre: Parlor
  • What it's about: It's a virtual pachinko machine
  • Popularity in Japan: I have no clue
  • Why I want this translation so badly: Vampire Lied said they love pachinko and this specific game looks deeper than the rest.
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Pachinko isn't really in the west. Also this game appears to be a bit obscure anyway.

Game: Release Date: Game Info:
  • Genre: Dating sim.
  • What it's about: Love Plus + is the same as the original Love Plus, although with new content, including field trips, fitness modes, sick days, and so on. Almost everything from the original game also makes an appearance in Love Plus +, along with many new ways to interact with the girls. Data can also be transferred from the original game to Love Plus +. (text in red is from wikipedia). So it is basically a dating sim - it is just like Love Plus but with more content.
  • Popularity in Japan: I do not know.
  • Why I want this translation so badly: It is the same gas as Love Plus but it has a lot more content and has more story(s)...
  • Why I don't think this will come out in the West: Lack of popularity - I dont think people are very accepting of VNs where I live now.
