Really hope this game will be translated.
I want to ask, will this be full translation attempt or menu/partial translation?

I'm thinking this is Swallow Double Reversal? Thanks, it seems plausible. Might it be similar to this also? http://www.toyamaryu.org/CuttingVideo.htm#Nami%20Gaeshi (Wave Cut) It is an attack, btw (I put it in a search ox on a jap. digi site but it still translate to nothing i can understand) I recently found a list of Traits so I'll be filling in those I couldn't translate and fixing those that need to be Edited by nebula91, 02 April 2011 - 07:56 PM. |

Well, gaeshi is almost certainly cut, then. It might almost be easier to figure out which digimon it belongs to, and then look at the official translations of the previous games.

nebula91, Could you upload your updated file somewhere the forum seems to break all the formatting. I really should make a proper tool to edit these.

Yeah, I'll upload it to Mediafire in a bit after I finish what I can on this page....
I'll edit this post in a few minutes with what I was able to get EDIT: This is what I have of MESPAK00 so far. "MESPAK00continued" is the one I've been doing. Just to note, There are bits (leading up to where I'm at now) that aren't translated because I couldn't get proper or full translations for them. I'll keep going at it now though. If anyone is willing to... Feel free to correct what you see or translate what you can, I recommend at least trying or giving a glance ----------------------------------- EDIT2: For some reason I have to choose which encoding now in Microsoft Word 2010... So if someone downloads and has this same issue: Check off "Other Encoding" and select, on the right, "Japanese (Shift-JIS)" I'll do more on this later since I've been so into and got no sleep lol -------------------------------------- EDIT3: I didn't get to do much today because of my own school work and computer issues... But this should be up to page 230/285 and some fixes on some older stuff. The fixes or changes are listed in the extra document in case you need it. I should be done with, what I'm capable of doing, by sometime tomorrow or Tuesday depending on the school work I have Edited by nebula91, 05 April 2011 - 01:35 AM. |

I'm probably much too late with these.
I just made this this afternoon: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Ap...uthkey=COf0vYcC It is a chart of text rips of the attacks from Digimon Story, Digimon World, Digimon Story Moonlight, Digimon World Dawn and Digimon Lost Evolution. They've been sorted by the Japanese. While you might not want to use some of the translations from Digimon Story, it looks like Moonlight/Sunburst/Dawn/Dusk used quite a few of the same attacks and even has the same "amount" of attacks in it. So you can see quite a few of the "official" translations from the games with the original Japanese to compare. えんげつげり(円月げり) is a skill of Weregarurumon and is a kick which appears to draw a moon shape. ツバメにまいがえし(ツバメ二枚返し) is a skill of Buraimon. Its originator is 燕返し, a sword technique most famously used by Sasaki Kojirou. |

Well... I've done what I can with MESPAK00.
http://www.mediafire.com/?5lyi6a91am4il06 There's still a bit scattered and most notably towards the end that I couldn't get translated but, as I said before, someone should probaly look through it and see what they can do with it also. I'm going to look through the next "MESPACK" in a bit to see if there's some more simple stuff that can be translated. Edited by nebula91, 05 April 2011 - 01:37 AM. |

mespak01 is dialogue translations. Not nearly as easy, but 50x as vital.

Yeah, I can see that lol I'm able to translate a good amount for the time being but there's still some stuff I'm skipping over. Most notabl a few of the questions, a bunch of statements, and other text lines that include ^0,^1, and ^P in them which I don't want to mess up since I don't really know what they're for.... I'll upload what I have in a bit. EDIT: http://www.mediafire.com/?1yeu9hx93ay0bo5 How far have you come along in MESPAK02? Edited by nebula91, 05 April 2011 - 08:08 AM. |

I'm working on a .PAK text editor so you guys can easily modify the .PAK files and test your translations directly although you'll need to use my updated fonts.pak file (which you can't modify with this new tool) I'm testing it now to make sure its all working if all goes well i'll post it in a few hours. (Unfortunately I haven't had time to go through the current dumps and get them working with my previous tools but its just a copy/paste job using this new tool

That's interesting... I'll be waiting to see this
I haven't had the time to play with the text files lately because of school work, lack of sleep, yadayadayada, and I've finally gotten my own 3DS that I've hardly touched >_< I'll be getting back into it either this weekend or the beginning of next week, though. |

yo! i'm a fan of digimon and other JRPGS and have been very thankful to people who works on this kinds of projects
well i've been trying to apply translation direclty with the pak using hex... i know how to find texts and change it... but when i change the values using standard encoding the game displays symbols and when i use the encoding used by the game it works.... but there are problems such as: -the space provided for a text is limited (i think this is because of the games font encoding/display used e.g. アグモン = Agumon / Jap word 4letters English has 6) -names gets joined e.g. in the digi"dex" names are displayed AgumonBe...Betamon...KoromonToko...Tokomon and want to help in one way or another XD good luck to the people working on this... edit: here are some sreenshots ![]()
