1. No
2. FAT32
3. cIOS 222 (latest?)
4. WiiFlow 2.2 Beta
5. WiiSOS(?)
6. Yes(?)
7. NA (so far)

I'm not all that there with the technical stuff when it comes to Wii soft-modding, so I let PimpMyWii do all the updating.

I've tried 3 different sources, and, at first, they all froze for me on the "baby's cry" scene, just as Samus' ship flew over part of the space station (top view, ship flying towards/down). Noticing an earlier post by Amarok, I checked the source I have now with WiiScrubber, and it still contained the update partition. Using WiiBackupManager to transfer my source to my HDD, I changed the settings to "Keep game partition only" (I'm assuming this removes the update partition), and now the game carries on past the problem point.

Right now, I'm just stoked that it's working so far. I guess I'll need to update my post as I play on. Hopefully I don't run into any other problems mentioned in this thread.

EDIT: Game froze on Ridley cutscene. -.-

Ohh maan i just got it to finally work after 3 days. Running cIOS56 REV20 on slot 249. I been trying to run it with FileTrip Download Link NeoGamma R9, but it would always give me a black screen after choosing to launch from DVD. Stupid me didn't try to run the Disk Loader Channel. It recognized game and everything but i just didn't try it. I finally gave it a try and it works perfectly so far

QUOTE(dandee68 @ Nov 17 2010, 10:58 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I believe I have a fix for those of us who use a FAT32 HDD. Terrulin's post on page 10 was the clue. For me the game froze at the ridley cutscene and i have only the game partition. It seems to me the movie was right in the middle of the split which meant only the first half was loaded and played and then froze because the other half was still on the HDD. The Solution I came up with was to use Wiiscrubber to extract the movie (dm30_cut28b.sfd) which is right before the ridley fight movie (dm36to43.sfd). I then used a hex editor to append zero's to the end of it thus increasing it's file size large enough so that when you use wii backup manager to transfer it to HDD the entire Ridley movie gets put on the second half of the split. And then use wiiscrubber to replace the original. I tried it and it played perfectly.

Here is the new resized dm30_cut28b.sfd

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7SP1BUQ2

transfer your metroid other m from your wii HDD to your pc HDD. Also backup the game and delete the one on your Wii HDD.
Use wiiscrubber to replace the original movie (dm30_cut28b.sfd) and then retransfer it to your Wii HDD with wii backup manager.

If you have the update partition I recommend deleting it and using only the game partition. I'm not an expert but it worked for me so I thought I would share it with you.

If anybody tries this please let us know if it worked or not. by the way this is for NTSC games.

It works for the Ridley freeze but the baby's cry freeze is back with this solution. I have the pal version

I installed the game with USBLoaderGX from retail disc rip, using ios 222 I believe. I had a ton or problems before that and could never get past the babys cry cut scene. After ripping using 222 I never had a problem since and have completed the game.

At last! I found!

With PAL version with update partition removed, using rev 20 base 56 with FileTrip Download Link wiiflow rev 301, it works only if the wbfs file is not split in 2. With only one file it works perfectly (verified by playing the movie); with 2 files, I get the ridley freeze.
Therefore NTFS is required.

1. It freezed at the cutscene where madeline shows samus the computer screen with "metroid" on it. To be more exact it froze at samus's reaction to that.
2. I use a fujitsu hard drive.
3. I tried cIOS 222 and 223
4. I used USBloaderGX (v2.3 IOS 222 Rev 65535)
5. I don't know
6. I didn't get any sign about an update whatsoever? It just played.
7. I just see samus's face. No black screen, nor any error code.

I hope someone can help me. It would be much appriciated.

Buy the game instead of using a pirated copy.
