They should probably change the reason a bit to make it more clear ...

If it's outlawed in config, they can't change the reason. If it's restricted via services (literally channel restricted to those below a certain level of access), they can't change the reason (cleanly), if it's an akick they CAN change the reason but I doubt it's an akick because that would cause the channel to expire fairly quickly. |

Nice guide, but there's a lot of things you don't explain, such as how to add a server to autojoin. It might be a good idea to focus on a specific IRC client (mIRC) so the guide can be written more specifically so noobs will understand. I imagine they won't have any idea how to add a server to autojoin unless you spoonfeed it
 Sort of gravedigging but I figured it was worth responding to. Also since it's stickied it's allowed in my opinion. Off-topic: I'm liking the new GBAtemp layout, but not so much that a lot of the theme has been simplified such as title bars no longer having lines. It doesn't look as nice without them. I'm gonna update it with even more information and a mini-guide (not just a lazy video) on how to set up mIRC (and possibly other clients?) soon. There's also some terminology I have defined incorrectly so I'll fix that and some other stuff at the same time. Glad you liked the guide, and yes the new site theme is quite nice but has a few things that will take getting used to. |
