"List of achieved improvements:
- Play retail GC discs
- Select which game to boot from multi game discs in wii mode(NeoGamma itself)"

Will this also fix the black and white, auto booting to PAL, issue on multi disc games on multi iso image?

Have you tried setting the multigame ISO's region as NTSC? There's a dropdown tab for that in the program that a lot of people never seem to notice.

If you set NeoGamma to force NTSC480i, it should either play the game in NTSC or fail to load on PAL games that can't be forced. The region information of the disc or multi game disc is 100% ignored in this case.

Saves are not concerned by the loader.
The game look at the GC memory card plugged in. If there is one, you can load one smile.gif

Beta 4 is on 2nd post (from tj_cool) or on the previous page too, uploaded on Filetrip.

I tested neogamma9Beta 4 :
You remember I have a wiikey1 which made the wii think my discs were retail and I never had the multiboot menu with wiigator launcher.
It's still the same, but I wanted to bring my result so you know what's up now.

tested DVD : tales of symphonia CD1 + CD2 made with latest make multi GCOS; gameID : GCOPDV

With original MIOS (v8) :
config MIOS : boot GCOS boot.dol (the game menu selection)
config internal : "DVD read error <1307> / Gamecube BC error" error message. Not booting at all

With cMIOS (v5 or v8) rungcbackup only :
config MIOS : boot GCOS boot.dol
config internal : "DVD read error <1307> / Gamecube BC error" error message. Not booting at all

All three MIOS are the same.
Do you think it's possible to make a check for multi game on 'detected' retail disc too, instead of launching boot.dol directly ? maybe with detecting the Game ID starting with GCO

Everything you get in FileTrip Download Link NeoGamma's GUI is not related to the MIOS, when seeing NeoGamma's GUI, you are still in wii mode, and then it's important what cIOS you have. I think the multi disc .iso stuff only works on cIOS and some cIOS do NOT work with gamecube games.

So what cIOS do you have?

Beta 5 allows to find which dvd read fails for you and that's the only change for beta 5. I guess it is at reading the offset table of the multi game disc.

for my previous post, I tested on IOS249[38]v19

I installed IOS249v17, and tested with beta 5 :
DVD err(1306) offset table ; Gamecube Error

I can try another cIOS if you want.

That's the point where it identified that the game is a multi game disc and it tries to read what games are on the disc. If rev17 and 19 fail, then either the chip is one of the bad ones or the read command NeoGamma tries at that point is not working on "retail" discs. I'll try to investigate this, i'll keep you updated.

SD cards can't be used when in GameCube mode
Pretty much the same reason there are no GC usb loaders yet

Beta 5 mirror'd (see post #2)

what's new in beta 6 ?

CODE
R9 beta 5 - > R9 beta 6

- Prevent that a stubbed IOS249 is loaded
- Added warning on dvd read error for drives that can't read DVD-Rs(needs to be improved)
- Hide usb/sd loading option when using an IOS

all the below refers to NTSC GC backups on a pal machine
running FileTrip Download Link neogamma r9 beta 6, the neogamma screen refers to ios 249

When I first installed Neogamma I used cmios 3
Zelda windwaker ran first time, but Eternal darkness would not (crashed on the opening poe quote)

since then Ive installed cmios 5, now eternal darkness works but Windwaker doesn't

I get a blackscreen with the GameCube Backuo Loader v1.1 logo across the top, the wii then freeze's

When I install cmios 5 using FileTrip Download Link cmios installer 2, I get a option for which ios to use, is there a particular one I should use
I also get options for the cmios 4,5,8 or 10.

Can I get both Windwaker and Eternal darkness running on one install.

Thanks in advance
