Considering the sticky thread hasn't been updated since about May, I figured I'd go through the thread and the forums and create a new index, to help keep things more organized.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST THREAD.

There is a thread right here where you can request translations for your game of choice.

If you do not have a translation project, please do not post in this thread.
There are other threads for requesting translations, and if a translation project does not appear in this thread, I have not been alerted of its existence.

Color System
In order to improve readability and allow those searching for a specific project status to find their projects more easily, I will be instituting a color system within the next week or so. Using this system, the color of the project title indicates the status of the project itself. Listed below is the guide:
  • Blue - Completed project*.
  • Green - In progress and healthy (updated within 3 months of last edit of this post).
  • Orange - On hiatus or in progress, but inactive.
  • Red - Cancelled or dead (no updates in six months or more).
* A completed project is not necessarily a 100% translation of all text in the game; the translation's creator(s) have simply accomplished their stated goal for the patch and moved on. A menu patch, for example, only translates the game's menu text, but if the patch translates all of the game's menus, it is "complete". I might also designate a project as "Complete" if the project is inactive, but at least 90% of the game has been translated and it is playable from beginning to end.

Games beginning with N-Z

Since this index has exceeded the character limits for a single post, I am going to split it into two parts. Translations for games beginning with a number, or with the letters A-M, are above, and translations for games beginning with the letters N-Z are below.

If you are working on a translation and wish it to be represented here, either post in this thread or send me a PM with a link to your project thread. Direct linking your website and the most recent patch you have released (if any) in the message would be appreciated, but I pride myself on being a reasonably intelligent human being, so it's not necessary. :P I would ask that only translation authors themselves submit translation projects, in order to prevent this thread from becoming cluttered with "You're missing X translation" posts. This index is updated by translation authors themselves, and simply maintained by me.
This thread is a constant work in progress.

You should just quote War's original then add whatever is new. I tried to do it, but it was simply too tedious.

yeah but some of War's original are out of date.

I guess you can simply list all the current or latest translation, or even Newly fresh ones as well as Upcoming translation

I would, but as the previous post mentions, the original is slightly out of date; several links are broken, and some projects have changed status since that thread was last updated. I have to go through the old index and make sure everything is correct. In addition, I plan to keep everything organized a different way than War did, which necessitates going through the sticky and adapting everything to my way of doing things, anyways. I am using that thread as a reference, but that's as far as it goes.

Updated the first post; it will probably take me a few days to get a reasonably accurate index up. After that, I'll probably update this thread about once or twice a week.

Just saw that "Dutch" translation of from the abyss, the screenshot that is provided had horrible grammar and only half of it was translated. The link to the patch is also dead, so I can't take a look at the game, but the translation isn't complete at all, and I even think that this is just google translated.

(spoiler contains the screenshot, just to make it a bit more dial-up friendly)

rangnarok is alive website says this

Well, I know it’s been said a hundred times and a hundred ways… but we ARE still alive and working…

However, we DO have problems. One being we are SORELY short on translation power at the moment, so things are going at a snail pace. Two is that I’ve hit a point in hacking apart the rom that unless we get someone who knows REAL rom hacking things, I can’t proceed with some of the translation work. (Namely, the double-spaced text in the top screen effects things like the text under the Skill Pictures. Touching this crashes the game.)

So… Anyone know any smarties out there who are bored? Give us a call biggrin.gif

That aside though, the game IS progressing. We are slowing translating and adding in the last bits from the overlay files, then all focus goes back to main/quest scripts as those are fairly simple in comparison.

Go team, and all that jazz smile.gif Thanks to all those who gave and continue to give support and usefull critisim, it helps us stay motivated.

(Last note, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not use cheats with the game right now, we know most will not work, and they can and will cause problems. And they DO effect some save games. So if your trying to cheat, for whatever reason, and start getting crashes… Sorry, but your SOL unless you can start the game over and reproduce it cheat-free.)

Love you all! Peace.

bug tracker has been going till novemeber so i think the team may be working on it

Updated the index with a couple of new translation (Cross Treasures and XXLANCEXX's HG/SS), an old one (KazoWAR's HG/SS), and a status change (WataruKun's HG/SS). It's about time I got around to this. I'm pretty sure that's all the active projects, or at least the ones with patches.

As for Ragnarok Online DS...
QUOTE(twiztidsinz @ Jan 6 2009, 08:49 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
All work on this project (Translations and s3xy n00dz) is officially over.

XSEED has picked up Ragnarok Online DS for release in the United States.

That's what the project topic says. It would seem to outright state that the project has been discontinued due to English localization. If the project is still active, then could you have twiztedsinz correct it to reflect that? Once that is done, I'll change the project status. Unless, of course, you're talking about a different Ragnarok Online DS translation project, in which case I'll need project information in order to catalog it here.

[edit] Could a friendly mod please sticky this? I don't want to have to go looking for it in a week when I need to update again. Thanks in advance![/edit]

Kajitani - Sorry, I must have missed your post. It will be added post-haste.
[EDIT]It's a done deed.[/EDIT]

mhajhun - BBcode foul-up, most likely. Probably forgot to close a tag. I'll fix it now.
[EDIT]Oh. Now I see what you mean. Not sure how that happened, but it's fixed now.[/EDIT]
