You only need to code the FileTrip Download Link wad manager GUI to read the banner infos from the WAD.

sounds more simple than it really is though.

Those pictures look very well made. The progress bar would be good and also telling you how much blocks are left on your wii tongue.gif

Thanks! That's my Photoshop handywork!

it would be nice to see the amount of blocks, and the blocks left, and that is automaticly warns you when you install a to large wad file

With all the work and customization that has gone into the usb loaders and emulators out there, the tools and the expertise are DEFINITELY there for this to be done. I know waninkoko has his GIT repositories for his source code, is the FileTrip Download Link wad manager code there? Having a FileTrip Download Link wad manager that loads images that are premade to go with wads and to download them from the net is not unreasonable as this has already been done for the usb loaders, which can be unquestionable called piracy. Piracy debate aside, a Wad Manager GX would be EXCELLENT. Wad tools already exist, if people want to pirate, they will, why not snazz it up a bit?

imho, don't hate me but running from SD is a pretty moot point now, as 4.0 sort of does this (I know it copies to NAND). Point is a SD card with 2gb, will only have 2GB, all it will save is a tiny amount of time, and it may even take longer to load.

So... scrap the idea of installing to SD and substitute to running from USB2 wink.gif

Glad this topic got bumped, got me thinking of a few ideas too smile.gif

Just wanted to mention that it would be possible to get the banner and all, although definitely not easy... would have to extract the WAD and grab the opening.bnr file, then unpack the u8 to get the banner.bin, then unpack that u8/LZ77 to get the animations (brlan, etc) or just images in the tpl maybe (if you want it simple), then render those. There's scattered code here and there to do most of this actually, but it's in all different types of languages and theres other barriers as well.
If anyones interested they can get the info and example code here: http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Opening.bnr

(To be clear, I have no intention of doing this project.)

Okay to clear some things
Benzin converts brlyt and brlan files to xml files and the other way around and nothing more and like AlexDP already said you can already show the pictures without using benzin.
(Very much extracting and converting the tpl to a PNG or whatever)

So itīs not simply take benzin and show animated pictures.

PS: Making a GUI for this with libwiigui is really simple i already made a simple test smile.gif
