GBAtemp Website & Forum FAQsQ: Can I find ROMs or Warez on GBAtemp? Can I ask for them?
A: No and you never will. It is absolutely prohibited that you request for them.
Q: What features does GBAtemp offer?

Q: Can I grab RSS feeds for GBAtemp?
A: Yup, check this out.
Q: How do I change the forum skin?
A: Click here or use the drop-down menu at the bottom of almost any page.
Q: Is there an option for me to change the Portal news and release boxes to my liking?
A: Yes, there is. Registered users can arrange and remove news and release boxes on the Portal to their liking by using the Portal Options in their Control Panel.
Q: How do I change my signature and/or avatar?
A: Go to your My Controls and choose the correct section from the menu on the left of the page.
Q: Can I change my forum username?
A: Yes, you can. Request your forum username change in this topic
Q: I found a bug or glitch!
A: Please report it here.
Q: What are 'Friends'?
A: You can add forum members as your Friends so you can see when they're online on the portal, and make it easier to send them PMs.
Q: How do I see everyone that's currently online?
A: Go to the bottom of the Forum Index.
Q: How do I become a forum moderator?
A: Be an active contributor and keep a level head. Never ask to be a moderator and generally just be a good member - if the staff feels you deserve a position on the staff, then you will be asked to join. Remember, it's always quite possible you're never chosen to be added to the moderating team.
Q: I submitted a file to the download center but it's not available for viewing, why is this?
A: It may need to be approved, please contact a member of staff.
Q: I thought this forum was around since approx 2002? Where are all the old topics?
A: They were archived to reduced the size of the forum database, but they can still be accessed here.
Q: My signature or avatar was removed... What happened to it?
A: It may have been over the allowed dimensions or file size or possibly offensive, please see the forum rules.
Q: My shop or website would like to form a partnership with GBAtemp, whom do I contact?
A: Please contact a senior member of staff.
Q: Where can I get some leet GBAtemp swagger?

Nintendo DS and Nintendo DS Flashcart & Emulation FAQsQ: What do I need to play backups and homebrew on my Nintendo DS?
A: You'll need either a Slot-1 flashcart or NDS ROM compatible Slot-2 flashcart.
Q: What is a flashcart?
A: A flashcart is a device designed to allow you to play backup ROMs and homebrew on your Nintendo DS.
Q: What's the absolute best Slot-1 flashcart? The best Slot-2 flashcart?
A: Well, that's opinionated and the "best" flashcart really depends on what you want in a flashcart. You can check out official GBAtemp Flashcart Reviews and decide for yourself which flashcart is the best!
Q: What flashcarts work on the Nintendo DSi?
A: Currently, the Acekard 2i and the DSTTi are the only flashcarts that work on the Nintendo DSi.
Q: Where can I get the latest firmware and software updates for my flashcart?
A: The GBAtemp Download Center should have the latest updates for your flashcart.
Q: How do I play GBA games on a DS?
A: You need a Slot-2 flashcart. Slot-1 flashcarts themselves cannot run GBA ROMs.
Q: Are there any Nintendo DS emulators for PC, Mac, or Linux?
A: Yes, there are quite a few actually. Read up about it in this topic.
Q:Can the Nintendo DS emulate N64 games? Xbox games? PSX games?
A: No, no, and no! You can read more about the different emulators available for the Nintendo DS here.
Q: What is homebrew?
A: Homebrew is non-commerical, free games and applications.
Q: Can I watch videos, play music, view images, and read text files with my flashcart?
A: Yes, but you will need to install MoonShell.
Q: What is DLDI?
A: It is an interface for libfat that homebrew developers attached to their projects. You can read up on Opium's DLDI guide here.
Q: Where can I find Nintendo DS cheats for my flashcart?
A: Technician Narin daily updates the GBAtemp Cheat Database.
Q: Where can I download themes for my flashcart?
A: You can grab them from the GBAtemp Download Center or go to NDSThemes (Excellent source for flashcart themes).
Q: Does the Nintendo DS have a web browser?
A: Yes, Nintendo released the Opera browser and there are numerous other web browsers such as the DSOrganize web browser, Okiwi, and DSHobro.
Q: Can I back up my commercial Nintendo DS cartridges using a flashcart?
A: You sure can. The easiest way to do so is to use either Rudolph's Slot-2 dumper (you'll need a Slot-2 flashcart) or Rudolph's Wi-Fi dumper (you'll need a Wi-Fi connection and a computer). There are other methods, but these are the easiest.
Q: What is the ARM7 Patch, and how can I ARM7 patch my NDS ROMs?
A: You can read all about here.
Q: What is the M3 Sakura?
A: M3 Sakura is a custom firmware developed by the M3 Team for use with their flashcart products. You can learn much more about the M3 Sakura firmware here.
Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Wii Emulation FAQsQ: Can the Nintendo Wii play backups?
A: Yes, you will need to have a modchip installed or use Wiigator's Backup Launcher.
Q:What's the best Wii modchip?
A: The Wiikey 2, Niinja, and the CycloWiz seem to be among the best - you'll just have to read their reviews and find out for yourself.
Q: How can you play backups on your Wii without a modchip?
A: You'll need to use Wiigator's Wii Backup Launcher.
Q: Is it possible to run homebrew on my Wii?
A: Yes, but you will need a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii version) and have to use the Twilight Hack.
Q: What's the Twilight Hack and how do I do it?
A: Read all about the Twilight Hack in this topic. I suggest installing the Homebrew Channel once you've learned about and done the Twilight Hack.
Q: Is it possible to run NTSC Wii backups on my PAL Wii, and vice versa?
A: Yes, it's quite possible. You'll need the RegionFrii tool.
