Ok I added a sort of half assed looking page for game compatibility.
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/AKA...M_Compatibility It's not pretty looking but should be functional. Most things should be resolved via using non-DMA mode which can be documented here as well as any general game issues people know about. |

Thanks, makes it easier if theres a page people can report DMA mode conflicts rather than posting them individually on the bug tracker. |

I've updated the wiki to show the new menu system in 1.4
Some of the screenshots need to be updated to reflect some minor changes in the Start Menu. How do you take screen shots of an nds anyways?? I combined all the 3in1 with the FAS1 stuff. However since I don't have these carts I can't see if there are any changes. I get an "Unknown" error when I try to access the 3in1/FAS1 option in the Start menu. Hopefully someone can go through that section and clean it up with any additions from 1.4 |

i think the 1.3 wiki should stay as is, and 1.4 stuff added in addition or a new wiki made for 1.4. some people will continue to use 1.3 for awhile, the wiki should not be 1.4 specific due to the vast amount of gui changes.

whoever made all the __aio folders to __AIO please do not do that again. the folder on the acekard is lowercase not uppercase. while it might be proper writing style to make the name of a directory uppercase, it also has the potential to confuse the new users who are looking for matching literal data.
vato and i have just discussed the wiki for the past 25minutes. we have decided that it needs to be more universal. from now on any reference to content outside or inside the wiki will be in quotes, all directories and important files will be bolded. also the word 'folder' will be switched for the word 'directory.' the names of the kits should now be universal (AK2, R.P.G., AK2i). do not use any other combination of lowercase or more verbose methods. if you add content please try to keep it conformed to this method =). IE: please visit the "links" section of the wiki place your __aio folder in the root of your microSD -another world |

Since you guys want to have both the 1.3 and 1.4 gui options in the Wiki I have a few ideas.
1) We could create template Wiki pages that are specific to the 1.3 GUI and 1.4 GUI. We could could then use these templates and embed them into the main page. This would allow us to more easily swap out or move the GUI contents as needed, or as the GUI changes for subsequent versions 2) We could have entirely separate pages that deal with either the 1.3 and 1.4 GUI changes 3) We could have the main page contain only the latest GUI information, then create a separate page for the older 1.3 GUI Sorry about wiping out the older 1.3 stuff in the wiki, but I had kind of assumed we'd only be needing the most relevant version in the wiki |

Who is user Logan on the wiki?
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?tit...amp;oldid=22251 @Logan: stop changing the links back. the reason they are hyperlinked the way they are is so we can control what the links say. the way you are doing it makes the links the names of the wiki pages. this is a limitation of using [[internal linking]] of that of [http://whatever.org This is the Site] external linking. GBATemp's AKAIO ROM Compatibility WIKI GBATemp's EZ 3in1 WIKI these are much more descriptive than the way you keep reverting back to. your reverts are a personal preference for a way of linking but you seem to not see the larger picture. the wiki should be as descriptive as possible to minimize any questions that could/will be asked. i have watched as the new user questions have dropped off in both the forum and the irc channel thanks to the wiki. it answers all of the basics and then some. i understand that the links are in the "information" section, regardless, and one would assume that any user in this section would know these links (no matter the title) would take them to more information. but i've found that making assumptions about people, especially the larger population of 12-15yr olds who use flash kits, is a mistake. for that reason vato and myself set out to make the wiki more verbose and descriptive. it works very well in its current state. please post your arguements for using internal linking over that of external. we will discuss it. -another world |

I'm going to change that now. EDIT: Made the change, check it out and see if you like it AW. Keep in mind that if you still like the old way better than I won't take offense to the revert or something stupid like that. Edited by Valkrys, 20 March 2009 - 08:22 AM. |

that works. my arguement is not for one way over the other but to control what the hyperlink says.

I used that little trick all the time. |
