de Gea is somewhat inconsistant, but calling him one of the worst goalkeepers in the premeir league is a tad over exaggerated.......this is his first season in the premiership so having ultra high expectations because he displayed potential at Athletico Madrid shows a bit of over optimism in my opinion. de Gea is still pretty young and is still adjusting. I think he will become a fine goalkeeper in the forseeable future.
