Hacking XGD3 DVD writer

Hi

Can someone recommend me a good DVD write for XGD3? Ive read alot on this but all the information was from some years ago. Is LITEON iHAS 124 B still the best one to use? are there any other newer models out there now? cheaper models also?

You could find compatible drives to flash firmware: http://www.ixtreme.net/360-backups/37445-approved-burners-xgd3-do-not-buy-burner-before-reading.html or you could just use the burnermax payload tool. Here is a compatible list for that:
