Windows Update is stuck on loading forever.

Installed Driver Magician, and it found these. Should I install all of them?

Is it the Slow branch, I'm looking for, then?

I know the risks of stuff like this, and I'm willing to learn (as I'm probably doing right now); I want to work in IT, after I finish my studies.
I would install those display adapters and see if that solves your problem.

The NVIDIA driver installed fine, however it turns out the Intel drivers are manufacturer-specific (I can't install the generic driver), and according to Device Manager, I already have the latest driver.

Did you check the Device Manager for errors? Did you try rebooting your computer to see if the problem has been fixed?

Did you attempt to uninstall your monitor driver from the device manager and reboot?
Yes, and it doesn't... although, there was an empty window ("Personalised Settings (Not Responding)") that appeared in the top left, and disappeared after around half a minute.
Otherwise that, everything was the same.
Could you post a picture of what your monitor's driver settings look like?
I can't find any programmes with Intel or NVIDIA in their name apart from GeForce Experience, that, when opened, just complains that "NVIDIA Installer failed".

Just for being sure if you do not have any corruption due to the installation : try this :

- Safe Mode with Networking enabled.
- Admin Powershell : dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
- If it finds some issues : dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

If all is fixed, you should be good to go.

Code:
Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool
Version: 10.0.16299.15

No component store corruption detected.
The operation completed successfully.

I can see an option to roll back to the last stable release. I think I'll do that and try the Slow branch for now. If that doesn't work either, I'll just continue using Stable.

Okay at least it is not Windows-related. Any HW updates recently ?

16299.15 is RTM, meaning you'll have to update to it sooner or later.

Slightly off topic but Id recommend you not to use the insider previews. Microsoft started treating Windows 10 stable as a beta already and pushing updates that knowingly breaks things (sleep, Bluetooth, updates etc) their insider "betas" are truly betas and never should be installed on a system you plan on using for anything more than just debugging windows itself and having enough knowledge about the whole topic.

I would normally agree, but 16299.15 is RTM.
