Hacking will the 3ds work with old flashcarts?

Well you never know - the 3DS may have 2 types of modes - a '3DS' mode and a 'DS compatible' mode - perhaps determined by the small tag on the side of a 3DS card

By inserting a 'flashcard' the 3DS goes into 'DS Compatibility' mode & it'll may still run as 'normal'

The REAL answer to this IMHO is really 'We Don't Know !!!'

who knows maybe they did all they could to detect ds mode flashcards on the dsi and the same carts will work on the 3ds or maybe it only requires a firmware/bootloader update. or they won't work at all until someone finds a way to hack the 3ds

Well I would really like for my Acekard 2i to work so I don't have to worry about NES emulator screen burn in on the likely chance that the DSTWO does work on the 3DS.
