Hacking Wiiu Freezes on smashstack hack.

Tonight I got my WiiU and my copy of smash brothers. I grabbed my 2GB SD card, I copied over smash stack and BOOT.ELF from boot me. I updated the WiiU like it asked me to, So I could get to the vWii. Then I disconnect my Wi-Fi. I put in smash brothers and boot it up, I do not let it make any save files. I get to the main menu and then I push my SD card in and select level builder. it searches for like 3 seconds, Then the screen freezes and nothing happens. It get a high pitch sound from the game, So does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Or what could be causing this? I have tried 2 different SD cards.

A.Have you deleted pre created levels before inserting SD and trying?
B. Are You Using The Correct file for your region (look here: http://www.wiibrew.org/wiki/Smash_Stack)

Smash stack wouldnt work for me like ten times, then one time i accidently created a save file and i i thought lets just see if it works then i deleted the custom stages inserted the card and it worked!!!
i used US smash stack, i have US NTSC Wind Waker wii u. FW 5.1.3 i think
my SD card was fat not fat32 btw. idk why it worked

For a US Wii U, it is required to have a save file. The "No Save" exploit only works on PAL devices.
