I've been making this little theme concept since last night. I finished doing the artwork, now I need to code it to a functional theme. However, I'd like to know how can I make these two bars I have in the picture below to stay there all the time, not just when pointed at?

I'm not really anywhere near completion, just started. If someone helped me with this problem I'd be grateful. I see the Wii Menu theme accomplishes this by drawing them to the bg also, but I'd like to use a better solution, if possible.

Thanks to anyone willing to help!

try to set the "main zone" dimensions to the max. (640x480)
and try to modify effects on every button you want to stay all the time (don't remember the correct value , i think it's 3)

Yea, I already got it to show on full screen, I'll try what you suggested when I better have time. Just wondering, I think it isn't possible to have the game title on top of the bar? According to all logic it would go behind it.. Guess I'll have to figure out something..

Well you can always put the bar on the background

Do you mean like putting a fake bar to the bg.png or something? I'm wondering if it's possible to have it so the reflections go behind it, but the title goes on top of it. I guess that's impossible? Maybe I should just swap the top and bottom bar..

EDIT: Why is there no documentation of any of this anywhere?

there is a little here :

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=148...t&p=2052903
(last part of the code quote could be usefull for you)

i remember there was a post with explanations on effect-x , effect-y etc etc... , but i can't find it anymore ^^

btw , icons are "always on top" , so the title will disappear behind if you try to move it on them.
this can't be modified in any way other than modifying the source code.

EDIT : woot , 10 minutes to find this f****** post about effects on icons :

Great, thanks benjay! I think I can whip something up with this info. Maybe this info should be added to like first post as a kind of mini-tutorial on making wiiflow themes? It's really helpful
