Original Post I made a couple days ago:
I have an original Wii, part of the first US shipment. I had it soft modded forever ago and just recently got it out of storage. I was using a hdd and games were working just fine , even up until today. It is running system menu 4.3U.
I played Zelda Skyward Sword for a bit. Now, whenever i try and play a game, i get this: http://i.imgur.com/BRDr20h.jpg . I redid everything softmod wise following the ModMii wizard. I was using USB Loader GX and also tried CFG Loader. Same results. It also wont play disc games either now, original discs that were bought in a store.
Here is my syscheck.csv (you can view online or download): https://drive.google.com/open?id=161bxc1FHtur_i3bEcshSUIp5MZMKtMXNAFAXPUCe-VQ
I honestly have no clue what could be wrong at this point...
If I have ModMii analyze the syscheck.csv file, it says this: https://i.imgur.com/PkUuXsp.png
Ive done that with no change. The guide it generates just wants me to reinstall the homebrew channel. Which ive done. Its using Ios 58 and is not upside down
I downloaded Wii Mod, reinstalled the system menu 4.3 and then ran the IOS check it has:
Here is its output (View online or download): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxpypVtlTSfhMnZNMWJHMHhnYkU/view?usp=sharing
Apps do not work either, I tried the Wii shop channel and it gives the same error. I can use the Mii channel but when i press the home button and try to go back to the main screen, i also get that error
I posted this on reddit and was told that the DVD drive was going bad so i ordered a new one
Update:
The new DVD drive came in today and i installed it. I tried a game using CFG usb loader, same error. I then tried a retail disk game, Deblob, I also got the same error screen. I clicked on the disc channel to see if it would read the disc and as soon as it read it, it gave me the error.
Edit: I performed a Wii system memory format from the settings, no change
I also formatted the NAND following this guide, also no change: http://spawn.link/factory-reset-revirginizing-your-wii/
