Misc Wii wifi USB hook up question

I have a cable modem hooked up to my computer via an ethernet LAN connection. If I buy the nintendo Wifi usb adaptor, will it work with the set up I have or will I need a router?

the nintendo wifi adapot will work as it is no need for a router, i just wish id bout the nintendo adapor over my wifi max

If you don't have any other laptops/computers/ds's/wiis/xboxs/ anything that needs to get online, do what I did. I just bought a 10$ hub and the 1.5m patch cable came with the USB Adapter. Seems alot cheaper (waste of money?) if nothing else you have requires online.
