So I downloaded YAWMM from this thread: http://gbatemp.net/threads/yet-another-wad-manager-mod.210290/ I put the WAD you linked me in the root of the SD card. First it asks you to select an IOS version, and IOS249 is there by default. I press A to accept this and it asks for NAND emulator device, with disabled as the default choice. I press A to accept this, press A to select Wii SD slot as my storage device, press B to leave WAD folder and go to root of my SD card, and finally select the IOS36 WAD. Then, when I press A to install, it says opening, please wait... Ok! Installing WAD, please wait... Installing ticket... ERROR! (ret = -1017) Any ideas?
I think my IOS version was set to IOS58 I'll check. I think you can set it to IOS236 or you can uninstall the cIOSes with MMM first and I think it's set to IOS58 by default that way.

Alright, so I was using the wrong one. :P Thanks, this one installed the IOS36 with no problems.

So the problem was I was using a different version of YAWMM, guess the _EN at the end should have been a hint. I unistalled IOS 249, 250, and 251 with MMM, turns out I had no IOS236 to delete. And.. Updating like normal again! Homebrew is still installed, just not with any cIOS to use most apps.

Thanks for all your help you guys! I will have to remember this site. ;)

You could always install the cIOSes back.

Removing patches from IOS36 and deleting IOS236 fixes the 162-0002 and a couple others but the 105-3733 error code is still unknown and I keep getting it.
In this Nintendo techforum http://techforums.nintendo.com/thread/26870
it appears Nintendo has no clue why people are getting this error code. Someone bought rayman legends off the e shop and he got the error code. It said the download was corrupted and he had to delete it. He try to download it three times and gets the same error code and corrupted message. he tried formatting his system and redownloading all his games and all his games he bought before get the same error code and message now. The only thing he can download now is his virtual console games.

I can install any system update and small game updates or DLC but if the DLC or update for a game is larger than 75mb it will fail on install, sometimes I can retry the download around 5-10 times and it will succeed but there are times where it would never work.

That's strange. Well you can't send it to Nintendo with homebrew on the vWii. Maybe Nintendo will release a system update that will fix the problem because it seem to affect a lot of people with the system hack or not.

Yeah, i've spoken to Nintendo several times already and they are no help. I've tried everything possible to every IOS with no luck.
Here is something that is even stranger, if I happen to get a successful download/install on a game update I can delete it and redownload it as much as I want with no errors. Also, on large updates I can take my Wii U to my brother's house and download and install them successfully, but..... at that same location I can download a small update and I will get the 105-3733 error code. Seriously, WTF is up with that crazy shit?

Well it's been a few months but I have the same problem as everyone else here.

Softmodded vWii, WiiU running 4.0.2U, and it won't update. HBC ran fine, so did Configurable USB Loader, and homebrews... but not the update.

Tried everything. I'm pretty much at wit's end now. In the process I have:

- Re-softmodded (Smash Stack FTW)
- Reinstalled HBC a bunch of times
- Restored original versions of iOS36 and iOS58 (after accidentally deleting iOS58, which was AWESOME let me tell you)
*** Actually WiiModLite 1.6 reports that iOS58 is NAND patched. I'm not sure it IS original, which might be a problem... unclear how to get an original, this is the one (I thought) that I dumped when I first softmodded!
- Deleted iOS236, 249, 250, 251, 254

Right now the vWii has ... no HBC, no custom iOS'es (*** except iOS58 might be patched at this point), no USB loaders, and no homebrew. Just my officially downloaded WiiWare and channels (Cave Story, World of Goo, etc.)

And it STILL won't patch. Gets to 30%, then jumps to 32% and immediately bombs to error 162-0002, just like everyone else.

Other ideas? Someone willing to lend a hand with analysis and remediation? I'd hate to think that the next time I want to update the machine because a new game requires it that I'll have a very expensive paperweight.

Nothing below 200.

Edit: You should also switch to SysCheck HDE. I've made several improvements. There is a link in my signature.

Nothing below 200 being modded? Pretty sure that's normal no? As far as I knew only 249-251 for d2x were to be installed since IOS patching was on the fly. I'll get her to find it, it's on my PC somewhere but I know I ahd that syscheck lying around. I'll grab another one and edit it.

Edit: I edited my original post with the new Syscheck dump. Should 58 be patched via USB2? That's all I show for 58, no NAND access though.

You said nothing below 249, but it should be nothing below 200.

IOS58 isn't patched, it has a USB2.0 driver built in.

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.

Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.

@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
