On the weekend I finally got the courage to add a ps1 to my joystick having now dual support for wii and ps1/2 also with an adapter I can use the joystick on a xbox 360, ps3, computer and original xbox.

help from shoruken forums and http://www.slagcoin.com/joystick/pcb_wiring.html
gave me the help to get this project finished.

Dissembled an old ps1 digital pad. Soldered on thin wire (I used phone wire for the small tricky solder points and a 1 cable wire from a computer cable something similar to ethernet) Once the wiring was done I tested each wire individually using an adapter to usb and microsoft game device from control panel. I labeled each wire (x,o,r1,start....) and then hot glued the solder points to keep each wire intact. I did 2 or 3 wires at a time than hot glued the wires to the pad to be sure things were safe and not get ahead of myself. Afterwards, I connected the common ground wires from the wii pcb buttons on the bottom of the connecting points. Next I got the common ground of the ps1 pad and put it on the common ground wire of the wii Button (x/a) Once common grounds were connected, I hooked up my buttons to the wii buttons. Lastly, I hooked up the directional pad to the joystick, cutting the wires hooking up each direction from both pads together and left the ground wire alone. I had to test the wires on the windows game controller program to know which direction was which.
