Hardware Wii RGB Cable 240p on Sony Trinitron...

When having the original resolution option turned on in genesis plus gx, is the Wii actually outputting 240p?

Or when using Nintendont, will the force pal60 option be 480i?

Genesis Plus GX's "Original" option does use 240p. (...and 480i for certain games that use the Mega Drive's interlaced mode, e.g. Sonic 2's 2P VS)

Force PAL60 on Nintendont is 480i.

So I guess it would be better to play Wii/GC games through the Wii U to get a better picture? I find there's a muddiness when playing on crt.
