Ok Lacius, I think I got it working, thanks

for anyone else, I'll just post my write up here:

  • Download MiosDios Lite, put DIOSMIOSLite_2.10.wad on the Root directory of your SD or USB
  • Open Homebrew, go to your Wad Manager by opening "InstForwarder"
  • Read the disclaimer and hit A
  • Select to use "IOS236" and hit A
  • Select your External USB or SD Card, & hit A
  • Select Dios Mios & hit A
  • Wait to finish Install, then Exit
  • Be sure you have the latest version of CFG Loader's boot.dol file in [usb]:\apps\USB-Loader
  • Download & Install DiskEX
  • Extract it to the same folder where all your backup Gamecube ISO's are
  • Drag your ISO's to DiskEX.exe one by one, and wait for them to finish
  • Drag all of those newly created folders (which have only the Game ID Code as a name) over to your "games" folder on the root of your USB drive; a folder located at [usb]:\games
  • Open CFG Configurator
  • Go to Menu > Actions > Download Titles.txt
  • Go to Wizards > Cover Download
  • Click on "Add Games from .txt"
  • Browse to the "titles.txt" file you downloaded
  • Select "Mode:" > Missing
  • Set your Base Path to: [usb]:\usb-loader
  • Click "Download All Games Covers"
  • Wait for them to all download.. it'll make your "Covers" folder about 2GB, you can go through and select only the ones you need, to save space, if you like
  • Then Start your Wii, Enter your CFG Loader, and your games will be in a list with the rest of your wii games, cover art for Gamecube games included
  • Start a Gamecube Game, and go to settings, then select a "noDisk" patch & Save, then start the game (I havent done this step yet, still waiting on controllers & memory Card)

I do have another question..

in the list of cover art, It appears to me there are actually Super Nintendo games as well? is that correct?

is that a complete list of Super Nintendo as well as Gamecube & Wii Games?

and if so, is there NES and N64 game cover art as well? and what are the steps to get those to display with the rest of the games.. anyone know??

thanks

Quick question this thread hasn't been updated in a while but I need to know if I can change USB Loader GX to use Devolution instead of Dios (I'm running on a Wii U)
And if I do make it do this will it have covers on USBLoaderGX?

Why not post in USBLoaderGX thread to ask a question about its settings?
You posted in a dead and old thread with "CFG Loader" in the title.

To answer your question anyway:
yes, you can change the GC loader method in USBLoaderGX, as long as you are using an updated version.
In the settings, theres one called "Game cube mode" ... if set to MIOS, then set it to Devolution if you want to use Devolution, or to Nintendont if you want to use Nintendont.
Each GC loaders method require different setup and external programs to be present in specific paths.

Next question, ask in USBLoaderGX thread.
