Is there anyway now that I can backup the 51 games I already installed via the Wii itself, or would I need to do that all over again just this time via my PC?

Yes, use wii game manager to load up the wbfs partition and have it copy the games to a folder on your system

Notes was a field I added originally to show if the associated text file was missing or if theree was no entry in titles.txt for it. It was never intended to be an editable field.

Yes, I discovered that on accident. Thanks for the reply. I now figure that I can add any notes directly to the TXT file. That way, as long as its present, people can read the notes by opening the txt file. Perhaps a future update might include an option to open the txt file or somehow view its contents.

Simple question.
Can i configure somehow how the subfolder is created?

Right now the default is ID_NAME_OF_GAME.

Wanted something like "[Name of Game] ID"

Is it possible?

In a way...just go to "options", then "settings", then the "FAT32/NTFS" tab. Assuming you've got "Store files in separate sub-folders" ticked on, the second drop down list gives the options.

Note that only the options are available that USB loaders require to actually find the games. But I guess you're looking to make it "Title [GameID]", right?

Latest Wii Game Manager can't correctly recognise images for PAL Red Steel 2 (RD2X41).
There is two PAL versions exists - RD2X41 and RD2P41 (I don't know differences).
For RD2X41 it says that file is PAL-Other (why?) and won't download any images for it, despite that database has all required info, and images can be downloaded manually and displayed corretly, when placed in proper directory.

Is there a guide for this program? I converted all my ISO's to WBFS files but I don't know how to make those visible in USB Loader..it always just says not WBFS parition found..

Also when I try to convert some games it doesn't work, such as Smash Bros Brawl.

Thanks in advance.

Or you can format it to NTFS, create a WBFS folder on the root and drop your wbfs files directly onto the drive. you can use FAT32 if you want, but there is a 4GB filesize limit... meaning dual layer games (metroid prime, sakura wars, super smash bros. brawl) won't fit.

What a pain..

I just formatted my whole drive to FAT32 to try to integrate everything to ONE drive letter rather than having a FAT32 for my Roms, then NTSF for storage, then WBFS for Wii games..

But I wasn't aware of the 4g limit..so basically it was pointless, I have to go back to multiple partitions again. If I use NTSF, then the roms won't work as they have to be on a NTSF...grrr, frustrating.

(Gah sorry for double post)

There is a 4g limit for file size but you can split the roms into 2g parts and they will still work in the loader

PAL-Other means its a Region Free game, also when Wii Game Manager reports "Other" it too is region free.

RD2E41 = Red Steel 2 (NTSC-U)
RD2J41 = Red Steel 2 (NTSC-J)
RD2K41 = Red Steel 2 (NTSC-K)
RD2P41 = Red Steel 2 (PAL)
RD2X41 = Red Steel 2 (PAL - Region Free)

Wiitdb is a great source for this. I use the GameID search function all the time and thus have submitted a wiitdb gameid search plugin to the mycroft project for others to use if they want: Grab it Here

what sucks about this is that sometimes it doesn't download (fair enough, not all full covers are in english)
but also doesn't download ANY covers for some games, and if you go check on wiitdb they are all there... i tought it could be server lag, or whatever, but no, i just took the time to open firefox, type wiitdb, search for the code of the game, and see everything was there.. am i just going stupid or what?

Looks nice but can't you rip a wii game from disc? Seems like a pretty basic feature. I burn all my Wii iso's for backup purposes, but not in iso format. In normal game format.

Okay, I have an issue:

Whenever I convert an ISO to WBFS the .wbfs file is bigger than the ISO image. Even though the estimated size is shown in the window while the converting's going on it's no where near what it says. What exactly am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am experiencing this strange problem doing a tedious task of moving my WII partition of my harddrive from the neomg last parition to the first. )(i tried using easeus to just move the parition but it kept saying not enough space.....

So i Copied all my WBFS files and to my internal hd, and deleted the partition on my external, made a new partition and started trying to copy my files. I kept trying to just drag and drop and that would not work, id get some error i cant remember, SO i used Wii Game Manager 1.5 to "Move" all of my WBFS files that i had copied, to the new partition, and i thought it was working, it created directorys for all the files and such. But then id explore the directory and there was nothing in it. Then i got an error towards the end of my transfer (of 35 games) and it was like "can not find the file " and it suggested Just In Time Debugging and i didnt know what the hell that was so i quit the program and re opened it. tried it again, no avail.
Then all the sudden the parition dissapears from my compiuter. then it reappeares, and theres no directorys in it.

can anyone tell me why ? Is it cause i had dragged and dropped my WBFS files orignally? and that they didnt move/copy properly?
and also..
I am veiwng the properties of my parittion and it says that its used 0 bytes and has 0 bytes free. kinda contradictory... whats going on? what do i do?

and im also getting these pop ups in the corner of my screen telling me that Windows has lost some crazy files i didnt knwo existed in one of my internal harddrives.
$Mft delayed write, anyone knoow whats goin on?

sometimes trying to get things to work makes me want to-... you dont want to know, but im sure you already do.

edit I fixed a few problems i think... by disable Cache on all drives and changing some memory page index thing in the windows registry.
please help! thank you
happy.gif

edit.. and so my Wii partion seems to be empty, the whole drive did, till the WBFS folder showwed up, and then I tryd to explore it and it kinda stopped responding so i tried deleting it and it tells e "cannot find the file"

is there a size limitation on the iso file? wii sports resort shows as a 32gig iso and your prog does not pick it up in list a iso. no problems with smaller games.
thanks
