Hacking Wii/Channel Reverse Engineering Results

Hey Guys! We have a WC24 server up with dumps already - just switch your DNS to 168.235.71.66 and you should be good to go. Regarding the Weather/Forecast Channel, unfortunately it is using some sort of encryption that we don't have the key for, so we haven't been able to get that working yet. The dumps are up for it though. Larsenv also posted the links to the dumps on the current domain (was switched a while ago).

EDIT: @Larsenv your WC24 server is replying 404 - duplicate all 049 folders and rename the dupes '110' because my wii looks for 110

Yeah I believe I had a problem with that before when I tried using channels, as Larsenv said it is duplicated now.

what about Wiimmfi http://wiimmfi.de/
is that for Nintendo Wii Chanels too? (I just can't understand why they won't give their Source Code to the comunity)

PS: Thats great that we can actualy do chanel restoration our selves not just to connect to some server that doesn't even gave source code (like wiimmfi)

I think Wiimmfi is only for channels like the Wii Speak Channel, which use the Nintendo WiFi Connection, the server we have setup is for channels that use WiiConnect24 (Most of the other ones).

Yeah, announcements are BIN files, not sent via check.cgi
Question: what URL does it use for bin dl.
Also, @Larsenv my everybody votes doesn't show new polls, why?

Yep it downloads .bin files - For the exact URL I am not sure however.

Nintendo is still sending out announcement mails via WC24. I'll see if I can get a packet capture of the Wii receiving the announcement emails in a bit.

We do already have a bunch but if you would like to you can send us more, and we can check to see if there are any new ones that we don't have uploaded yet.

Sadly, I cannot get a copy of Everybody Votes D: - looks like no ticket on Ninty's Servers.

It's still on the Wii Shop Channel. EDIT: you'll have to have downloaded it previously (in the TItles You've Downloaded section). I just downloaded it and it downloads fine.

We do already have a bunch but if you would like to you can send us more, and we can check to see if there are any new ones that we don't have uploaded yet.

Could you get Everybody Votes to work? When I tried it, the connection timed out. I'll try to get a packet dump so I know what's going wrong (Error 230500).

check.cgi is not on that server - it was at http://rcw.wc24.wii.com/cgi-bin/check.cgi
And I have my own server for wc24, and I can confirm copying and pasting works. You'd need to also duplicate some more times, and rename each one to the numbers that voting uses

I tried packet capturing before, you need to have your router modded I believe. Some methods are over here (I ended up using the router method with an old router I had):

Doesn't work as in isn't the right region? It should be working.

It just shows 'no new polls' i've tried renaming the folders to 2015.

It does except for image directory. I've downloaded and added to server.
NOTE: My server's files are at http://185.99.132.59/wc24 - but when you connect via DNS it uses documentroot in apache, so my server points /110 to /wc24/110.
