Without AMD Intel is nothing , easy to forget by most people that you used to pay beyond top dollar for mid range cpu's , Where faster cpu's and mid range arent that expensive now the case is that you pay budget price for decent speed.
This was way different for us say 6-5 years ago ?
And whenever you buy Intel you are saying that you would like to go back to that situation of Intel screwing you over on mid range cpu's ....
That's why you can get a E6600 for less than 400 dollars, but how much are FX-62s?

How's the overclocking on that FX? What about the Conroe?
Ah, and that's not even the best that Intel offers, yet in benchmarks it's clearly superior over the FX!
I digress, without AMD, we would be paying a premium for junk, but that's in the past. I'm not saying AMDs are slouches, but at least you gave your opinion with a foundation upon why you think as such, even if it is a bit convoluted.
I won't try to sway anyone's opinion, and as I said, AMD will come back, and then Intel, then AMD. (Though personally if we're talking video cards, I
am a self proclaimed Nvidia fanboy, no doubt. I think the AMD-ATI aquistion wasn't the greatest of moves, but that's another song...)
But, your user name doesn't scream fanboy in the least.
