Yeah those are other carts, r4ids.cn and r4idsn.com are the ones supported by wood.

im gonna order an r4 card for my 3dsxl (current firmware)

is the game compatibility as good as acekard2i?
also, will it end up dead in the water like acekard?

The game compatibility is fine, and we don't know. They've already had to leave a few older models behind.

So I started out with an acekard 2i, loved it.

Then I decided to get a DsTwo for Gba, Nes and Snes. It all just seems to run faster on my dstwo. As you can see in the OP that you can't run gba games on all of the flash adds without an expansion pack, excluding the dstwo. I only use my dstwo for anything except ds games. All I use my acekard for is Gbc and all of the ds games I have.

Love both, gave my friend my r4i gold 3ds, he likes that too.

Ok, thanks, but in the info says supports 1.41
-The world's first host system to support the DSi upgrade to V1.41

Edit: Ok, I check the site of R4i and is for 1.4.5 thanks again.

Are you looking to get an r4? I recommend an acekard 2i over and r4 IMHO.. Except the acekard team has been slacking on their updates. So if your gonna be on a 3ds I would look into a dstwo. You don't need a slot 2 for gba. Nes and Snes run much more smoothly on a dstwo. If its price you're worried about, go with the r4.

    I have a 3DS fw v4.5.0-10u.
If I bought a SuperCard DSTwo, would it support it?
Also, any good websites to get one from? If it doesn't work for example, I want to be able to return it and get another one instead.

The AK2i won't run on a DSi or 3DS that's been updated recently, so if he has one of those the Ak's not an option.

If the site updates it first, it'll work fine.

    Like what Rydian said^

If you update your dstwo to the highest firmware possible, it will work. I got mine here: http://realhotstuff2.com/Supercard-DSTWO_p_25.htm

From my experience the dstwo team has been very up-to-date with their updates. Like I said, if you're taking the acekard route, they have been slacking, so idk if we'll be getting any updates anytime soon. Of course they take awhile, due to the update, may be a minor fix or an entire week or so until the update is up for download. If I were you I'd go with a dstwo.

Really the only thing different IMO, is the name of the firmware lol. The r4 is beta testing real time saving, if not please correct me but that's what I've heard.

If you have a dsi. Get an r4. Acekard doesn't work on a dsi

The supercard team usually gets an update out within 24 hours to match a DSi/3DS update. I think it took three days once at the worst.

The R4i Gold and Ak2i have a similar feature set, they were generally seen as direct competitors (until the Ak2i's firmware updates died). Both play DS games fine.

Do note that the Ak2i doesn't have any DSi compatibility past 1.4.4, or 3DS compatibility past 4.3.x.

The Ak2i ran out of internal space, newer updates won't fit. Don't count on anything more unless they release a new hardware model (which would be pretty nice).

    Thanks guys!
I've decided to go with this one because it's only $41.80 with the box and a 4GB micro SD card.
    Hopefully refunds are available.
