Hey guys! So gotta nother question for ya all....What programs will let me chop up videos into small clips....I am looking for something that will take a video and cut it up into 2 minute segments all on its own....to make it easier on me....so like I would give the program a 30 minute video and it would cut it up for me with the click of a button....currently I am using Dr. Divix which is doing a terrible job but I'd like a list of good programs as well as bad ones and into any format, .wmv, .mov, ect. Thanks much tempers!

I would normally use AVIsynth and be tempted to reencode for such a task but as I normally either restore, capture or transcode video the process lends itself towards this end, many muxers however will have the ability to do so.
You could also use Virtual dub and save as segmented AVI (naturally VFW codecs for all streams would be required if you do not want to encode again, otherwise frameserve it something and encode).
If you are using matroska as your final container my one of choice would be mkvtoolnix (and the mkvmerge GUI in that) of which I would suggest the latest betas detailed here:
http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=118133 using mkvmerge GUI there is a splitting option under the global tab.

As for stuff I have never used:

I'm gonna check AVI Split Classic in a bit, I have 2000 hours of film to cut up into two minute segments and I want to do it in DIVX, wmv, mov, shit any format really...what I am doing is complicated but in the end I am really just looking for a one button solution. There is a program called Windows Media Encoder as well that I may try....right now just trying to to install a million programs...guess I can fire up the ol Windows Movie Maker and see if that has a splice into 2 minute segment option...

What codec is all this video currently in?
Personally I'd use Virtual Dub and set the video to Direct Stream so you don't need to re-encode it from it's current format and it's also blazingly quick that way.

Just my tuppence worth.
