What is Haxchi or CBHC? FAQs and info

    The vWii will work if you aren't in redNAND, if you click the cooldboot title, it will just show the menu

    I have three questions regarding CBHC, more precisely regarding out-of-region game content since I can properly install these contents to USB.

    1. Can I safely uninstall CBHC at a future time with US content being installed on my homescreen? Or will that brick my Wii U? I understand that I can definetly not play the content, but will it brick or softlock my WiiU when trying to load the icons for the home menu? Will it even show up?

    2. Can I safely install updates for these games from Nintendo in the WiiU or do I need to grab updates from the CDN (using Wii USB Helper for example) and install them with wupinstaller? Will the console notify me of these updates at all?

    3. Since CBHC has removed sigchecks, is there some way we can add content (like languages) to the games? The NES Remix Pack (containing NES Remix 1+2) was never released in Europe and the game freezes when trying to launch it on a EUR console (installed to home menu as well as loadiine) because it is missing the language files. I have successfully managed to get it to work on loadiine by adding the languages from the separate releases to the content folder of the game and I would like to get it to work from USB as well. Is this even possible or are there additional signature checks that prevent this?

    Found a bug in CBHC. If you made a new user on Wii U with CBHC 1.6. After reset Wii U not show error 160-0101. Nothing was change , apps don't move any ware. Just get brick..

    Get brick on 3 wii u. 2 x 32gb , 1x 8gb...
    Now make flasher for hardmod have all img from rednand..

    You need to flash it yourself.
    Grab Teensy v2.0 and stuff and begin.

    I made one of console 32gb backup by sdio nand manager ver.1 without info sector fix ... rewrite by hardmod mlc.img not help from error 160-0103 get 160-0101 .. any idea ?

    As you can see, yes i'm from Poland.
    Try rewriting NAND itself and SLCMTTP chip, should work.

    Already try this rewrite mlc.img and them write slcmtp.img by Win32DiskImager . Still error 160-0101.

    I am running cbhc no problems.

    My question is,
    If i switch the mii user, which will log me out of the console and login the new user mii. Will the DS VC game still be present along with the CBHC cfw hack for this new mii user?.

    Myself and my wife have mii users and the DS VC game that CBHC uses, was done whilst on my account/mii user.

    Any info appreciated.

    Yes, CBHC will be there. Titles are not specific to a user. Icon placement is, but that doesn't affect CBHC. The auto-run system setting is also not user specific.

    yes you can uninstall CBHC or Haxchi. (run the installer again and select uninstall instead of install option).
    The bad signed content will just can't be launched, but will not brick your console.

    yes, you can safely update these games.
    if you want to feel safer and block the network connection or the nintendo update server, you can use WUP installer to install latest game update manually.
    both methods are fine.
    The console will notify of these updates as long as you don't block both "tagaya servers" URL.

    Yes, you can mod games the same way you did with loadiine. You can use FTPiiU everywhere with CBHC, or WUP server/client with Mocha.
    Just be careful not to edit or delete a system file while using these homebrew.

    As long as you only edit a title's content, the worst you can do is make it unbootable. you can always fix it by removing your mods or deleting/reinstalling the game.

    Doh! So I made my first impatient/tired error in modding history. I formatted on CBHC. Now I have an error code brick console.

    I believe I did have a NAND backup, that was to say I created and sometimes used a Rednand/Mocha.. is there any way I can use this? Thanks!

    With the progress that's being made, you might "soon" be able to recover with a hard mod, but you'll need your OTP dump, so hopefully you made one. Keep an eye on these threads:

    Hi, I have a question.

    I have installed Haxchi first, and then CBHC as your guide stated.

    When in the future it comes an update for the Haxchi, can I update only the Haxchi without problems having the CBHC installed? How can I do the Haxchi update?

    I think u need to uninstall cbhc first. then, install the haxchi update. I've heard that u can install straight cbhc without haxchi first, but I don't know if that's true. I'm not risking my system to find out.

    You don't. Haxchi is a test to help ensure that CBHC will run successfully. Once you install CBHC, Haxchi isn't there anymore. You only update CBHC. These are the points you missed in the first post:
