Homebrew Weird ROM name issue

Can anyone explain why before all of my actual ROMS is a list of files with every rom name but it starts with ._ and if i try to open the ._ file it doesn't work. I want to get rid of this list cause it is a pain and its useless. This happens on all of my emulators...

Example:

._Super Mario Brothers (wont open)
... (whole list of those type of games then below)

Super Mario Brothers (opens)

Files beginning with ._ is a Mac thing. Don't know why Macs do what they do, but it's doing what it's doing.

I think the files that start with ._ are resource fork that OSX uses to store icons and stuff. It only happens on non-hfs volumes.
