Ok I noticed stuff started running slower so I checked the task manager to see what was running and my disc usage is at 99-100% all the time any idea why that could be happening

I am using Windows 10 x64
These are my specs if anyone asks
Intel Core i5 5200U
8GB's of ram
Nvidia GeForce 840M with 2GB dedicated VRAM

if you need anymore info just ask.

Sadly it's not that easy when It's been scanning for about 5 hours and 36 minutes
If it's scanning, then it's going to have high disk usage. Whatever was causing your high disk usage beforehand was probably related to Windows Update, Windows Defender, or something else a Windows operating system does from time to time. If it's a regular problem, you should try error checking the drive, disabling unnecessary startup items, and keeping an eye on Task Manager for the culprit.

Yeah I'll do that when It's finished scanning and restarting
