I have this game on my hard disk and it's in WBFS format (hard disk is NTFS). So, I want to write this game to a DVD. I can convert WBFS to ISO using Wii Backup Manager but will my hard modded Wii read the newly-created ISO after writing the ISO to a DVD. I was gonna do this but I thought of confirming this theory. Didn't want to waste a DVD-R. ;P

EDIT Nevermind. Misread post.
So you want to know if your hard-modded wii will read the DVD-R? Well that depends on how old your Wii is. Newer Wiis have been coming with Disc Drives that are incompatible with DVD-R's. You also might have to install some cIOS files but I am not completely sure. Someone like Joostinonline should be able to answer your question better pretty soon

I think you misunderstood my point. My Wii CAN read backup-ed disks. My question is when I convert the WBFS to ISO, will the Wii read the ISO since I converted it from WBFS.

And yeah I was expecting a quick reply from JoostinOnline. He's answered a couple of my previous questions.

Oh ok I gotcha, I don't see why not? It's the same game just a different format. Besides, even if it doesn't DVD-R's can usually be overwritten.

Yes you can use the iso. It's the main way if I'm making a backup I want to keep.
You can rerip, play, etc right back on your Wii afer burning it. WHY WOULD"NT IT?
It's just an uncompressed data container.

It's a iso file for a reason...
There should'nt be a problem if you burn it with imageburn.

wii isos are not really isos at all
people only call/name them this way because they dont know better
most standard tools (except burning) will fail to work on them

You are right, my bad.
Still for burning it does'nt matter.
there's some limitations as in the "real"sense of an iso image.
You cannot edit it as a Computer iso. It's a Wii iso image.
So it should be openend withn the appropriate Wii iso tools.

Burning on the other hand is handled the same way as "any" iso image.
So there's no drawback as the TS initially asked.
