Nice update man. It's really getting there. Have you decided on where you want to take the story? Honestly I think Ellis island would be a really cool throwback with a similar art style, but if you think the alien world is better for you and allows more creativity then go right ahead, or any other idea you might think of. Whatever you do though, I'll try to help with assets if I can.

  • Changed all names of invalid reasons
  • New Rule (Non-matching photo)
  • Updated NameGenrator(+More names)
  • Added PeopleScore(how many people you saw)
  • New font System(align Left,Center,Right)(Сentered text on WorkPass or Entery Permit it Looks better now)
  • Added Screen for Score Meter
  • TechMenu Width was changed
  • Minor fixes
Don't pay attention to date valid because it still not working(in 0.16 too)

Changes :
  • Fixed x/w Letters in Font
  • Added Walking animation
  • Increased chance to get valid documents
  • Increased chance to get Arstotzka document
  • Added dialog system
  • Added Outer Booth
  • Now You can't give documents if shutter is down
  • Shutter will go up when a new human arrives if it was already down
  • Added Last Wrong in the TechMenu
  • No 2 same people sprites in row
  • Minor fixes
Don't pay attention to date valid because it still not working(in 0.17 too)
EDIT:
in 0.18 i think i will do transcript and update Dialog system

Cool update. Just curious, how hard would it be to display on the screen whether I was correct or not? The tech menu says whether the documents are valid or not, and for what reason, so I wouldn't imagine a prompt displaying whether I was right or wrong would be too hard to implement. Also, if you want to make the 8th bullet on your change list more understandable, just say "shutter will go up when a new human arrives if it was already down."

  • Now RuleBook and AudioTranscript will appear in start

I really don't have any ideas what to do.I think i have to make a date valid check function and then i'll think about mode selection menu. If (I hope) project will be finished i will update the game for O3DS Users(fix lags(if i'll do it now, it will be hard to work on that project later srry(and i think my idea may not work ))).

  • Added ModelOf3DS check
  • Added DateGenerator()
  • Added Invalid expiration date
  • Minor Fixes
Turned off TextAlign and Dialog functions for o3ds
- if you want to enable/disable it just hold a+b then press UP -
Less Lags for O3DS users
Now you have to pay attention to date valid

How did I only discover this until now? Anyway... all I can say is that I hope this project succeeds. Papers Please is a great game and I like it a lot. Best bureaucracy 'em up out there.

i don't know

Don't worry about O3DS, keep working on N3DS then fix the stuff for O3DS :P

That's not a good idea. Some things may take alot of reworking to get working on o3ds, so it's best to make optimizations now and continue to optimize for o3ds so it isn't at a point where it needs to be torn down and reworked from scratch.

Give me an idea, What do I do with monitors? I think that I need to change them to something else but no ideas so far

Honestly they look completely fine, and in the context of the story at the moment I can't imagine what else they would be. Maybe since the bottom screen gets so cluttered at points in the game you could hang a document there to look at?

i agree with @Giodude for what i can mess about with and see the core game mechanics are all there, at this point i'd say all thats left is to make your own story to go with it/art syle and leave it in an open format for others to make thier own Story-sets.
