I've been trying to mod my Wii 4.3U(older white model) and I'm not sure I did everything right. Up until this point I was able to get Homebrew Channel, BootMii, backed up Nand, Priiloader, and some other stuff I have no clue. It was after that, the guides/tuts started getting confusing.

When setting up cIOS, I used this guide https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation and right around when installing d2x v10 beta r52 with cIOS D2X Installer on my Wii.

  • Your cursor will be on the cIOS D2X Version. Use the D-Pad to change it to the newest version (all the way to the right).
When moving right, mine stopped at d2x v6, isn't suppose to be d2x v10? I know downloaded d2x v10 beta r52 from its soruce.

My other problem is trying to install WiiFlow. I managed to get is installed but it only installed for usb(no extra HDD atm). I wanted it for SD card but I can't bring up any menu to change it. I tried a
different guide from here https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...backup-wii-gamecube-and-wiiware-games.360687/ with a different loader like USB Loader GX but even that brings me to a usb only screen.

I don't even know if I installed all my IOS correctly. There's so many guides using both old and new infomation that I can't tell what I'm doing anymore(I don't think I ever had this much of a problem with modding my psp).

Thanks for your reply. After some time I fumbled around with it some more and was able to get WiiFlow fully workin. It turns out when I was following this guide https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/usb/wiiflow

Installation

Download one of the packs at the Wiiflow site: http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/list

Whatever pack you choose, all you have to do is to extract it to the SD card/USB device (depending on where your homebrew apps are)

It is recommended to also grab the latest beta version, and overriding the files from the pack you downloaded above.
This version has improved support for GameCube backup loading and various other fixes.

Once setup, you can run WiiFlow with the Homebrew Channel. Alternatively, you can install the forwarder below.

I did this exactally and when I went to my Homebrew Channel I noticed that I was using a much much much lower version of WiiFlow. I don't know, maybe I misinterpreted this or something. So I redownloaded the lastest one and skipped the beta version, so now that was one problem out of the way.

So do I just put the whole d2x-cios-installer-3.1-v6-v7-v8-v10-wii folder in my apps folder? Also thanks again, I'll try it out tomorrow.

Make a new folder call it d2x installer then extract the contents of d2x-cios-installer-3.1-v6-v7-v8-v10-wii to your new folder then place the d2x installer folder in your apps folder of your sd/usb

I just finished installing v10, everything worked out fine. Thanks.

Also one last question. Do I still need installer apps and .wad files after I installed them on my SD card?
