Hi Guys,

Just a quickie, How do you transfer some games from my PC to the Ps3, using the USB stick.

I got rogero and MM on the Ps3.

Is it a case of folders to USB (32GB) (fat or NTFS)
Plug the USB into the Ps3
Then it all goes downhill, not sure how to select and put into the corret folder.

I was setting up FTP (still setting up), BUT I would like to know how to do the above.

There was a number of helps out there, but so many different routes, just got me confused. Any simple way

Make a GAMES folder on the USB and put the games on it.
The folder type PS3 games go here.
PS3 ISOs go in a PS3ISO folder on USB. (Very good chance it won't fit since FAT32 has 4 GB file limit, go folder type if possible)

Now you can do one of two methods.

First method is go to Games tab in Multiman and Copy the game to Internal (I think it was Triangle that brought the menu up)
After that you can delete the one you have on External (the USB)

Second method is to go to File Explorer and move it from the USB location to dev_hdd0:/GAMES (make that GAMES folder too if you don't have it) or dev_hdd0:/PS3ISO
X is to select/highlight files, Circle bring up the menu for Copy/Cut/Delete/Properties like Windows

cheers mate, another question, Does that work the same way for the one below

ISO is one lot I have, but I have noticed, I have Duplex and .pkg folders.

I am guessing during my ps3 game building a year ago or so, I had duplex and .pkg files of games.

Does the above copy method work for the duplex and pkg?

cheers upfront

Sorry for the late reply. It was Christmas

Yea, I joined the PS3 CFW scene back in 2013. At that point, folder type became dominant and ISO is something that only ODE people use.
All I know is Duplex is an old scene group, not a file type.

As for PKG files, it's an installable package (PKG-package, get it?) file. Most CFWs have the capabilities to install it. On some CFWs it's called Install Package Files, others have it as Package Manager. They are all basically the same thing.

If it's homebrew, it's unsigned so you can just install and have it work.
If it's a PSN game, it requires ReACTPSN and a RAP file for the installed PKG to not get a PSN Store error. (Basically you use ReACTPSN to run through the RAP then install the PSN game PKG)
