Hacking USB Loader GX runs HBC instead of games

Could someone please a look at this problem.

When I start any backup game in USB Loader GX it shows a black screen and then the Homebrew Channel. It used to work a while ago. Problem might have been introduced by a recent USB Loader GX update.

USB Loader GX Rev1239 IOS222 (Rev 65535) + AHB
Boot: 222
Loader: 249

I've set it up to directly boot to USB Loader GX.

A second problem is that USB Loader GX is "Waiting for HDD" until timeout, but on the automatic second initialization it works just fine.

Edit: For the moment I solved both problems by going back to version 3.0. I guess I'll be missing something, but I haven't noticed what that is.

exit when launching game is usually the result of "game not found".
either an issue with the game, the drive, or the used IOS.

verify that the settings are correctly set to "249" in :
Settings>Loader settings>Game's IOS.
