Hi all,
I have a question regarding how the USB Loader actually emulates the Drive.
The reason being is this:
I bought a WII for £36 delivered with a knackered DVD Drive. My plan is/was to rip it out and put a HDD in its place.
This would then be my "Travel WII" able to take on Car Journeys without swapping discs - just click and play. On my original WII i have installed the USB Loader 1.5 Channel by YABA correctly [as per the readme's and guides]. Both WII's are on 4.0CFW with cIOS rev 10. One WII has a Drive the other has a nice gap where one should go.
This is the Issue. I have loaded to my USB Stick several of my Games. [Just as a Trial Run before i spend money on a posh external drive to stick inside the wii] and tried booting on the driveless wii. This is where it get wierd. I Ripped WII Sports[Original] to the USB Stick and MOTO GP [Backup].Now MOTO GP boots fine on the driveless wii whereas Sports fails with the Error "An Error has occured - please eject the disc and power off the wii"
