Got a slim that is failing to connect to the Internet (have not tried wired yet), I can connect to the moden/router and even to my PC.
I just got it RGH on it if that somehow makes a difference?
It was able to hook up to the Internet the last time I used it before it the RGH was done to it.

Anybody got any suggestions other then trying a wired connection (I would have to find/dig some cable out for that). Could it be a problem on the console side or just a lousy wireless signal?

Lousy wireless signal could be yes.
Could also be that the Wifi module is busted.
I'd get that replaced if you can't connect it when the router is 1 meter away.

Could the job on the RGH somehow busted the WiFi module...................sloppy RGH install?????

I assume a working wired connection will confirm if its WiFi module? the modem is maybe unobstructed 25 feet away.

Sloppy RGH install could potentially ruin the wifi card.
If the wired connection works then it's the Wifi card yes.

It could also be you or the installer forgot to put the Wifi chip back..
If it's an Trinity slim.

You may need to open up a port and set a static IP. that's what i did for my wifi connection which didn't work, but like you i was able to connect to the router with no problem with a wired connection. damn this frontier communication and their DSL :(

I never had to do a workaround with Comcast
