From what I've gathered if you want online go to 3.0.1., if you want hacks eventually (which is a long way off) stay on 3.0. personally I updated because I heavily use the online for Splatoon 2 and the eShop and were still a very long ways away from any hacks getting publicly released, let alone emulators and save transfer tools for them.

thank you very much,i received my switch on 2.0.1 last sunday i got no time to update so i left the switch in the box and then on monday i made the mistake to update ,i didnt know fw 3.0.1 came out that day
i made the update thinking it was 3.0.0.thats my story and now am getting another switch on any fw (no 2.3 of course hopefully)

Their Twitter is not a public Q&A, this is what we have forums for. Follow them for updates and information not to ask annoying and stupid questions.
