The most polished piece of homebrew I've ever seen was Smashing, but as awesome as it is, I never play it as much as I do these apps.

I know they're not according to the rules, but I'm still going to start by mentioning ohneswanzenegger, wii backup manager, uneek+DI, modmii, mighty channels and (especially) postloader. They may not be traditional homebrew apps, but it would be a shame NOT mentioning them.

But to the traditional applications:

10. SDL mame (just for the awesome games...the emulator in itself is just a "it gets the job done" one).
9. savegame manager gx (only really used this to copy my savegames to uneek...but that by itself is enough to get mentioned)
8. MMM (dop-mii and wiimod get honorable mentions, but this one seems to work best under uneek)
7. scummVM
6. Descentwii
5. WiiMC
4. RawkSD
3. genesis plus gx
2. Swiss
1. Tantric's emulators (FCEUGX, VBAGX, SNES9X)

1.Yabuse (heh, will never be fully playable)
2.Mame SDL (CHD errors are now my enemy in the emulation field)
3.WiiSX - (Damn good emulator but not quite there yet but VERY close)
4.Wii64 - (most games I like don't work and probably never will but some games I enjoy work perfectly)
5.Doom - (Great port but Doom ain't the same without music, if the Dreamcast can do it the wii should be perfectly capable of the same)
6.Hexen/Heretic - (See doom)
7.DeSmuME - (Unplayable but I doubt it'll be in working order as no one cares to try to better the emulator!)
8.Genesis GX (I would like 32x and SCD support and it can happen.)
9.VBA GX (Fix that damn skipping, happens every few minutes and sometimes f**ks up my concentration)
10.Hugo GX (Needs CD support, wiiengine is rubbish)

Amiga runs quite well but not enough for my needs in gaming one of my underdog games I like on there is "Risky Woods" doesn't run worth a damn on wii uae. atari XL requires a "keyboard" doesn't it? I don't have one and right now I'm so damn broke that even one that's $3 can't be bought. So that's the reasons I am not particularly fond of those emus, they are good but not at all great but that's just my opinion.

Regardless I think WiiMod deserves a slot in any place in the top 10.
I'm talking about:

• region changing Wii,
• Custom System Menu installation,
• Wad Manager Support,
• App Loader,
• Batch IOS Updater,
• PLUS MORE....

This is my single most favorite app besides CFG loader. LoL
