Gaming To anyone who has dealt with cross play.

So I heard at some point Minecraft is going to have support cross/play with Xbox users Windows 10 and Nintendo Switch (Ha! Not Java Edition!)

I was just curious. Since all this paid online stuff comes and since Microsoft is running all of this. Does that mean you have to buy Nintendo's online service and Xbox's as well?

Thought it was an interesting question. I'm clueless so

No, you should not have to. You sign in via their Xbox service.. but, that's about it.

Makes sense for MS and Nintendo to join up userbases, it's a win win situation and good to see Nintendo opening up a bit, maybe we might finally see that goldeneye hd remake that keeps getting thrown under the bus

also, gota love how minecraft just brakes all rules of a company owning a property, Microsoft still owns it yet they also allow versions and interaction on other consoles just for it, it's nice to see them be true and good with the property
