This is the true successor to Super Mario 64 I feel.
I though mario sunshine was
It's almost entirely its own game, since the possession mechanic is going to play a big role in Odyssey.
Yeah. It runs at 900p 60fps docked and 720p 60fps handheld.
I think Digital Foundry or GameXplain or someone mentioned that in a video. I do remember that as being the case. At the very least, it's 60fps all around.
EDIT: zeldaism's got you covered above ^
It amazes me how going from an outdated, weird architecture like IBM PPC to a modern APU like the Maxwell Tegra X1 allows much more with roughly the same raw power.
LOL. You dont understand anyway.
Good God alive, I think we could have a new contender for game of the year instead of Zelda botw.
If this doesn't also get 10's across the board I'll eat my cappy.
Looks interesting and kind of mixes up a lot of gameplay elements, not really a fan though of the open world aspect.
Maybe when its not so expensive I will try it (59.99 is overkill imo.)
You know what it makes me think to?
But instead of having the same body with different cap, you have different body with same cap
Yeah... Well Nintendo does like making unique ideas anyway, I could see why they would want to keep mixing up gameplay and certain key elements of the Mario franchise but I think making it completely open world seems off. Like you said how its Kirby but instead of making the cap different they go with a complete different remodel of how the Mario games should work, (I don't know how big the worlds are by the way but I'd assume they could only stretch so far until you reach a gap in gameplay and this odd emptiness but, I feel like they kind of went backwards with this Mario game, similar to how the legend of Zelda breath of the wild was applauded for its open world but it lacked any key story, (well for the moment its out.) .) But that's just me, I think just a classic Mario game that expanded on 3D World would have been good enough but I could see why some might find the open world element fitting for people who grew up with the N64 Version of the game.
I want this game so bad.
I think ill buy it the usual way
Us, used, ebay, this saves me about 25-30% of the price
Omg by looking at the trailer, this is gonna be one of the best Mario games ever made. Bye bye my precious exploit
I think this is a mix of Super Mario Galaxy and TLOZ:BOTW
$48 on Amazon with Prime. That's what Gamestop's used price will be for the next two years probably lol.
Amazon Prime has some nice discounts, no way I'm paying full price
3D World was good, but fans started to moan about how they wanted an open-world one like Sunshine and 64, and criticized than linearity of Galaxy 2, 3D Land and 3D World. Odyssey was the logical game to release, plus the 3DW formula started to get old...
